I can write a book on the unpleasant and the worst experience we had, while staying in this filthy place. To start with, we had booked this place for 3 nights from 25th March till 28th March. The payment was made through card via booking.com while making the reservation as it looked like a very neat and tidy place as per the photos provided in Booking.com. The check-in time was 1 PM, however we reached this place at 9 PM as we were coming from Antalya by road. We were 4 adults and one 18 months old baby. Now here it goes.||1) When we reached at the property, we called the owner. He said the property is not ready, he needed 15 mins to get it ready. Even though it was cold, we agreed to wait for 15 mins. We first saw the so-called office or reception. That place was full of smoke and cigarette buds and not at all cleaned. We decided to wait outside. The owner said we can wait in the restaurant outside the property and he will get us free Turkish tea (Which was horrible as compared to other place in Turkey). Disclaimer - There is only one person (more of a cleaner) who neither was able to understand anything what we were saying to him nor he was able to speak properly (May be because he was little high or something). The owner came after 10 mins after we arrived.||2) First look of the villa: After 20-25 mins, We were told that we can move-in. The cigarettes and buds were removed from the reception, however the place was still smelling bad. And then our further disappointed started. The entrance to the property was through the reception. There was a small open space (kind of backyard) which had entrance to Kitchen, 1 room and 1 small open area with washing machine in the ground floor (See the pictures attached to see how it looked). The kitchen was looking like as if some person was already using it. Shoes and clothes were lying in the corner of the kitchen. The Room was filthy and had Liquor bottles, bedsheets and cigarette buds lying around. This open area leads to a small staircase which goes to first floor where the other 2 rooms and one small hallway was there. In the first floor, in order to go to main bedroom, there is again small staircase which was quite steep. The place hardly had any lights. It was cold and very depressing. One of the main reason for us to choose this place was that we needed kitchen where we can make food for the baby and also for us as some of us were vegetarian, however after looking at the kitchen condition, this was not possible at all. Generally, When we are on holiday, the hotel or apartment is a place where we give our body some time to relax but this place was definitely not for that. By now we understood, the place is not a single flat or apartment, 2 rooms were in first floor with the third room and a kitchen downstairs where we can go through a open staircase. Because of the cold and snowy weather, this was not at all possible. We were literally devastated as it was already 10 PM and we certainly felt that we cannot stay here with ladies and small baby with us. Not because it was very different from the photos we saw while booking but, mainly because the place gave all of us a bad feeling about our safety and comfort which any family traveller would expect when travelling to a new place. ||3) We decided to speak to the owner. We told him all of this and we said this place doesn't look right and we don't think we can stay here especially with a baby. He said he is not convinced with the reasons we are saying for not staing in this place. He was so rude to us and was not at all ready to listen to us. To be honest, we didn't feel safe talking to him. Instead, he kept saying everything is fine and these things happen some time and we have to live with that. We were literally clueless. Even though it was too late (around 10 PM) and cold, we said we can't stay here and offered him to pay for one night and requested for the refund for the other 2 remaining nights to which he refused. Then we offered him to pay for 2 nights, which also was refused. He kept asking for our passports and not listening to us at all and was asking us to contact booking.com. When we contacted booking.com, we were told that the hotel owner is not ready even for partial refund and as per the payment policy, they cannot do anything. Maximum we can do is that we can give our feedback. We were left with no options. Finally we decided to stay for the one night as it was too late and leave this place first thing in the morning. ||4) We checked-in. We decided to just use the 2 rooms in the first floor so that at least we can stay inside, start the room heater, close the door, have dinner and sleep. We switched on the heaters and then we all went out for dinner as we didn't wanted to use that filthy kitchen. When we came back, the rooms were still cold. One more thing, if you have any concerns or if you need anything, you have to go all the way down in the cold, search for that helper or owner and then request them. We used translator to tell the helper that rooms are still cold even after the heaters were switched on for more than 1 hour. He said it will take some more time (which didn't happen eventually). We finally went to the bed. There was another issue waiting for us. One of the leg of the bed was broken (Photo attached). We didn't had enough energy to again speak to the owner or the the cleaner. We used some pillows to keep the leg steady and slowly we went on top of the bed, hoping it won't fell.||5) To add to our dispair, just after 15 mins when it was 1 AM and the electricity went off. We thought it would come back in a couple of minutes but it didn't come. We were stuck in the dark room with not even a single ray of light, no room heater in this cold weather (One degree Celsius). We had lost all our hopes to get any assistance from the owner. We used our mobile torch the whole night, tucked ourselves inside the blanket hoping to sleep but couldn't. Ended up spending the entire night searching for some last minute hotel availability in nearby location. ||6) At 6 AM in the morning, We got up from the bed and it was still very dark inside, fully cold and no hot waters in the washrooms. I finally called ( also messaged the owner) that there is no electricity. But didn't get any response. We went to the terrace to look for the cleaner (By the way, the photos of the terrace in booking.com is just for show purpose. It was nothing like that). The helper was looking like as if he was having hangover. We told him about the electricity to which after checking and spending almost an hour here and there, he said it will take some time.||7) At 8:30 AM, it was still fully dark (photos attached) the helper called the owner and gave the phone to us. We told the owner the situation to which he literally started shouting at me over the phone and said it happens some time and he can't do anything. We informed booking.com about the situation and after some time received a message saying the owner is saying the electricity was not there only for 1 hour and it is fixed - which was a blatant lie (The electricity was not there when we left that horrible place at around 10:30 AM). We decided to start looking for some nearby available hotels immediately as we didn't wanted to spend even a single second there. We managed to found one. We booked it for 2 nights and came back to this place where we packed whatever we had taken out. ||8) Breakfast before we left - Since the new hotel wouldn't provide the breakfast on the day of check-in, we thought we will have the breakfast at this place and then leave. For breakfast, we already informed the owner last night while giving our Passport that some of us are vegetarian to which he said we should have informed him earlier. He asked us to come exactly at 9:30 AM in the terrace for breakfast. When we went to the terrace, the owner was also there. He was simple avoiding us and smoking. We also didn't wanted to speak with him anymore. After 10 mins, the cleaner brought some cold bread, some butter for us and omelette for our 2 other friends. It was literally not eatable. As for the omelette, my friends told that it was smelling very bad. We then just asked for tea and juice. We had them and then we went to the rooms, took our luggage, handed over the keys back to the owner and left. THERE WAS NOT EVEN A SINGLE SORRY OR APOLOGY FROM THE OWNER FOR THE TREATMENT AND EXPERIENCE WE HAD IN HIS APARTMENT. ||9) We left the place, moved to the new hotel (Won't name it here) and then slept there for the rest of the day as we were too tired even though we had plans for some tours on that day. ||PS: I know this is a long post but trust me the actual experience was way more than this. Do check the photos.||PS: Not a single refund from the owner, however Booking.com did gave 20 Euro back to the wallet as a good gesture which is very much appreciated. However, would request Booking.com to remove this hotel from...
Read moreThe Cappadocia Cave Center Villa is a very old individual house with 2 double beds and 5 single beds, and not a hotel with other rooms with broken beds, Switches, bath fixtures. So a cheap option for bachelors and hippies. We are a family and we reached the hotel at 8 pm and the room was not even cleaned, though the check in was 2 pm. And the owner had the audacity to say that u didn’t call I thought the reservation was not confirmed. So they cleaned the upper part of house in next 20 min, with kitchen and one bedroom below not cleaned and it had cigarette buds and beer bottles in the room, so looked like they were using the same house and there were leftover food and dirty clothes in the kitchen. No TV as provided in the description. And to make it worse there was no electricity the whole night. imagine staying with a 1.5 yr old in a pitch dark house with steps to every room of the cave house and with the temperature below 0 and no heater or electricity and the owner doesn’t respond and the caretaker has no idea about it. And owner was rude the next morning and said “ u have to adjust as it’s a house not a hotel”. In short a worst place to stay for family. We had booked for 3 nights and checked out the very next day itself around 10 AM with electricity issues still not fixed and with no refund or help from the owner and said u car is already charged u can check out if u want. Also the caretaker in the night will arrive completely drunk if u ask for any help and also use the kitchen of the house and one of the rooms and very unhappy we used his heater of the below room, which is outside the house and near the reception and kitchen. FYI below are the photos of house/villa when we checked...
Read moreMy stay at Cappadocia Center Cave Hotel was nothing short of excellent. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the hotel's unique cave-like architecture and the warm welcome of the staff.
The rooms themselves were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with beautiful traditional Turkish decor that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the surrounding cave formations. The bathrooms were modern and well-appointed, with high-quality amenities that made me feel right at home.
What really stood out to me about Cappadocia Center Cave Hotel, however, was the impeccable service provided by the staff. They were always available and eager to help with anything I needed, from providing recommendations for local restaurants and attractions to arranging transportation and even helping me plan my itinerary for the day.
The hotel's restaurant also deserves special mention, serving up some of the best food I had during my time in Turkey. The breakfast was a particular highlight, with a variety of delicious options including fresh bread, cheese, olives, and local pastries.
Finally, the hotel's location in the heart of Cappadocia made it the perfect base for exploring the area's stunning natural beauty. The hotel staff even helped me arrange a hot air balloon ride over the famous fairy chimneys, which was an unforgettable experience.
Overall, I would highly recommend Cappadocia Center Cave Hotel to anyone looking for a unique and luxurious hotel experience in Turkey. With its stunning architecture, comfortable rooms, top-notch service, and excellent location, it truly exceeded all of my...
