Gold Coast Hostel — Hotel in Muratpaşa

This may be the worst experience I have ever encountered in my life and I have experienced a lot. our room looked nothing like the photos, we had no comforter, the bathroom smelled awful, the window was clearly painted over. VARIOUS bugs came into the room. On the off chance that the door closes, (in most cases they don’t), we are able to hear absolutely everything (including another person in an adjacent room complaining about bugs) happening outside and inside the building. Maybe the only good thing about this hostel is the terrace. My friend and I woke up with bug bites (unexplained). The bathroom smell was so bad that it was impossible to go in there without gagging. When we asked them for a refund for the remaining days, they said they could only refund half. They are cash only and probably the reason why is because anyone with a card would file a dispute because this place is nothing like the photos. They gave us 1 days worth back, which is 40 Euros when we had paid 50 euros and said Hostelworld takes the other 10 euros, which doesn’t sound remotely believable. Anyways please come at...

I booked 4 days and day one, I realized I made a mistake. Tried to give benefit of doubt but that was another mistake. The hostel will delete your visit/account if they feel you may leave an honest review which is negative. No where to put your things in the room, in the bathroom. Lockers are in hallway and may not lock. Beds are low and metal. Can not sit up if out on the bottom and top bunk is shaky. Windows don’t open and the A/C unit if over someones bed. Which means they don’t want it on. One toilet was not working. No low lighting so you can see if you arrive late. They all you not to smoke, but sit in the door way and blow smoke into the hallway. Owner needs to invest in this place and it could be decent, again. Beds need to be replaced with wood. Wood provides steps and better spacing. |Rooftop was nice. I was not going to leave a review because we all have our own opinions about a place. But then Gold Coast canceled me reservations so I could not leave a review on hostels. Com. I booked for 4 days. Left after the 1st day. Beds are old and metal. You can not sit up on need of your on bottom and too scared to move if your on top. Shower is tiny and there is no place to put your items. Lockers are in the dark hallways and barely work. Hostel definitely needs to invest money back into the place. No where to put your things inside the room. They smoke in the entrance, but have signs saying no smoking all over. The rooftop is nice. Drinks are good. Family style dinner did not happen. I was not able to get a refund for my other 3 nights and EFE had the nerve to cancel to avoid me posting the truth. Do not stay here until they invest in the place and then it can be great!!
