Absolutely amazing place. Located on a small quiet street, very quiet even outside and few people around. It is very cozy inside, soft music, a lot of wood, nice warm light, a lot of books, photos, old artifacts like cameras, radios, pianos and so on. The theme of the cafe is traveling to different countries. Each table is named after a country (for example, Bangladesh is in the very corner of the establishment, a great place for dinner for two). The food is prepared and brought very quickly, there are so many things on the menu that your eyes run wide. The schnitzel turned out to be very tasty, and the salad with halloumi and caramelized pear can make you faint, it's so good. This is my new favorite place in the old town now. Please note that prices are above average, but it is enough to go here once to understand why.

I was super amazed to discover this place. Perhaps it’s away from the hustle and bustle of old town but authentic and charming cafe / restaurant. They have a good selection of draught beer (especially Guinness) and have so many interesting antique items inside. The whole place reminds of historical days when libraries were cool, well they are cool now too. The ambience is nice and I really enjoyed the food and the friendly waiters and service. There is a good selection of food and you will surely find something interesting to try. I would definitely put this on my bucket list if I was visiting antalya. The prices are also very reasonable and they have a beautiful outdoor dining area in case you are a smoker. Inside the place is just wow, go ahead check it out.

Update: The food quality has decreased. All the portions got smaller while the prices got higher. They don't serve the welcome olive portion anymore, and the staff is completely oblivious about the products and menu. I usually go there to eat their chicken pad Thai. Yesterday had no time to sit in, so ordered 2 for take away. They made me pay before giving me the food. When I received the package it was an absolutely ridiculous portion: it looked like it was half the usual portion we eat while there! At home I checked it and it was less than 350g each plate. They also forgot to add the side seasonings that is always served next to it. So different from my older review about them below (over an year ago). Varuna cafe is one of the best pubs around Turkey, the owner is a traveller and loves to display vintage items on his restaurants. The decoration is one of the best things about this pub. My favourite dish is the chicken Pad Thai. I fell in love with it. The beer is always cold, the staff is super friendly. it's a great place to relax and be impressed. They usually serve a portion of olive with olive oil that's is just tasty and welcoming. Go have fun there!

We found this place walking around the Old Town. We ordered their version of Turkish breakfast. We started eating but we noticed that something was missing. We asked 2 waiters and the only thing they did was apologise and offered a turkish coffee on the house instead, which we refused as it was not what we wanted. 2 more tables next to us came in and they ordered the same breakfast (the only turkish style breakfast on the menu). We noticed they received way more than we had, which was what was listed on their menu, including honey with cheese, fruit, bread, water. When we requested the bill we were not even given a small discount to compensate the items missing. Not going again. I had high expectations considering the history of the chain and the beautiful decor, but this service ruined it. The price for the breakfast is high if compared to other food places in Antalya. Even Istanbul compared for that same price of 160 Turkish Lira (80 lira per 2 person), gets you double the food we had here. Such a shame.

Varna Gezgin Cafe is simply an amazing cafe and bookshelf in Antalya with a truly homey atmosphere. The food is delicious and fresh with a really versatile menu. The staff all made us feel completely at home. Their hospitality is truly sincere and loving. In addition, this is a wonderful place to relax, read, have a few coffees, and even work on a laptop. Mohammed is a really lovely guy with beautiful energy. He made us feel so welcome and was really fun to speak with. He'll fill you in about the area and is just a generally good conversationalist. The rest of the staff were kind, attentive, and really helpful and kind. This place is a home away from home for us now. Highly recommended.

Amazing cafe/ restaurant: it’s super affordable for the quality and quantity that you get. We ordered the Varuna breakfast set for two (330TRY/pax) and the Turkish coffee (75TRY/pax), both of which blew us away. The sauces, cheeses, honey and jam were incredibly fresh and appetising with the sourdough bread. Might be considered relatively pricey but it was worth every cent!! Highly recommend— also the ambience was amazing :) Books and flags all over, perfect for a cafe photoshoot HAHA.
