Excellent location. Hotel is on the second floor. Security guard carries your luggage upstairs but then I felt compelled to tip. Room small but clean and comfortable enough. Bed was on the hard side. I arrived in Lviv for an unusual heat spell and had a had time finding acceptable air conditioning to provide cooling relief anywhere. Room was air conditioned but controlled by front desk so at 24 degrees centigrade it was never cool enough for me. Tv had no English stations. (I usually don't watch tv while traveling but these are strange times.) Biggest complaint for me was spotty wifi in my room. This was frustrating. Final comment- breakfast included but not buffet. You get a menu with 8 choices all of which include only 1 cup of coffee. I feel like I wasted a tremendous amount of food I didn't really want and would have just preferred a second cup of coffee.||Staff were nice and spoke excellent English. ||One note- if flying in or out of Lviv- taxis are impossible to find. Consider prebooking if accessible public transportation is not your style....
Read moreGreat location, but can’t comment on the rooms as I was not a hotel guest. My comments are reserved for the restaurant which I recently visited. For a place that doesn’t appear to be understaffed, they sure act like it. Nobody seats you, the wait time alone to get a menu is 10-15 minutes, no offers of any water etc, a wait time of 10 minutes to place an order, no staff checking to see how the meal is, and then nobody eager enough to drop off the bill for the order. In fact, I had to get up from my seat and take a dirty plate to the bar to make it clear to them that they dropped the ‘service ball’. Prior to that final act of customer defiance, I had diplomatically told them to get their act together. It’s the service level you expected (and often received) in the Soviet-era days. As for the food, it was average. Fortunately, Lviv has many good restaurants with above average food quality and service, and with better pricing than this place. Save your hryvnias and...
Read moreThe hotel entrance is signed but you have to be in the right place to see it. The entrance to the hotel is located outside behind the Cafe. The hotel reception is located on the first floor of the building.||||My room was located on the second floor, on the corner facing Svobody Avenue. There was a little traffic noise from the road but not unbearable. There were radiators in the room but these were not turned on. When I enquired about the heating I was told the heating was centrally controlled via the ceiling vents. ||||The room had a classic feel about it, maybe not my style but for the money I can't complain. ||||The advertised breakfast times had been shortened due to COVID restrictions which caused some difficulties trying to have my breakfast before I had to leave for my flight. Breakfast was served in the Cafe, chosen from options on a menu and...
