We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break celebrating our first wedding anniversary in Blackpool. We booked this hotel through expedia which provided us with problems as we unfortunately found out the company aren't paying the hotel for the guests thst book through them. Luckily we got a full refund and were able to reserve our room direct. Sue and Rob were very accommodating and understanding and offered an upgraded room for free because of this. On arrival the hotel was easy to find and central to the busy life of Blackpool. We were just a short walk away from clubs, restaurants, cafes and amusements as well as the central pier and a shopping centre. We found good places to shop, eat and explore and were extremely happy with the location. Our room was newly decorated and fairly modern. The decor could not be faulted as it was well thought out and comfortable. We found a card from Sue and Rob in the room which was a nice touch, we can only assume it was an anniversary card as that was the purpose of our visit. There was no lounge or dining provided, which we knew upon booking so if you're looking for bed and breakfast then this hotel isn't for you, however, we had no trouble finding nice breakfast establishments within a short walk. We felt that because this booking was a room only, it allowed the owners to fully concentrate on making sure the rooms were comfortable and practical. This was important to us, as a good night's sleep allowed us to be recharged for exploring Blackpool. We particularly enjoyed an escape room experience at 'Escape Blackpool' which is nearer to the pleasure beach and a longer walk, which we didn't mind. It was a unique and fun experience with puzzles and riddles to solve. It was a challenge but we would definitely go again! Another attraction we enjoyed was the Blackpool tower. Having both visited Blackpool before, this was the first time either of us had been up the tower. The views were beautiful and the overall experience was interesting and informative. On the day of departure we had to check out at 10am, but we were kindly allowed to store baggage to allow us to enjoy our day before getting the train home. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely...
Read moreBeing not even 5 minutes from the tower, this is in the perfect place. We paid a little more for the king-size room and I'm glad we did. It was a really good size for 2. The room itself was decorated nicely, black and grey as the main colour theme. The nespresso machine is a really nice touch, along with some crisps and enough coffee and tea. Plus you can ask for more if you need it. The room was clean and well presented. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lovely man, who promptly showed us to our room. The welcome pack/book is very helpful and informative. They do offer breakfast to your room, for a small charge, or recommend other cafes and restaurants nearby. The TV worked fine, the bed was comfortable, the curtains seem to be blackout curtains. They do ask you be mindful and quieter during night time hours, but that's common decency and a fair request. Honestly, I would happily have this as base for a week. Thank you for a...
Read moreJust had an amazing 2 night stay here with my partner, labrador, 9yr old, 8yr old and 2yr old. We had the family suite on the top floor which was a bit hard for us but we managed it. Anne Marie is just lovely and always on hand if you need her. Beds lovely and comfortable, no noise at night apart from Simon Seagull knocked on the window in the morning for breakfast I presume 😅, coffee machine, posh crisps, bottled water and all the hot drinks you need! Upon arrival we were greetes and shown to our rooms. We were given a activity pack for each of the children which was lovely. Car park was cheap enough for 48 hours and only a 30 second walk away. Location is 1min from the sea front, the Christmas by the beach market was a 2 min walk and all major attractions within a 2 min walk. I can't fault the hotel or the host. Thanks for such a lovely stay and we...
