Bristol House — Hotel in Great Britain

We booked and paid for 2 nights here but the room we were put in was uninhabitable.. it was a attic room on the very top floor ! As soon as we opened the door what a smell ! Mouldy , fousty smell .. carpet was filthy , wallpaper was peeling off the walls , ceiling was damp and patches of plaster was falling off .. the sink was about 1920 stained and cracked .. the bedding was probably 30 years old .. what a place , it states free parking but that is only for 3 spaces , you have to pay in the multi storey opposite where it is £8 .. This boarding house ? Should be boarded up ! We checked out the following day explaining it was not fit for purpose, we are not fussy people , but this room was seriously unexceptable... they should not rent this room out , and it should not be on any website advertising it .. booking.com or hotels.com should take this off ! ..The smell from mould and damp made me cough all night .. there is cheap and cheerful , but this was beyond a joke ! The dining room was no better and the toilet cramped and in need of a def refurb ! They wouldn’t refund the 1 night we didn’t stay .. please just beware it’s a 2* for a reason and I would avoid !...

Stayed here recently and so wish we hadn't. To say this place is dirty and in need of a major refurbishment is a big understatement it is disgusting . Room was dirty , bed and sheets were filthy and looked they had been there since the early 80s. My partner got a flea bite whilst lying on the bed thats how bad our room was. No wardrobes just one small kitchen type cabinet for your clothes and belongings. Tried to check in at 2pm and was told that the room wouldn't be ready until 4pm !!.....Really ??? Not made to feel welcome just ignored when leaving / returning on the evening out but were more than happy to get your money of you as soon as you arrived. Only thing that was ok was the breakfast but overall i would rather sleep outside and have the money in my pocket than stay in this place ever place again. ...

The owners are very friendly and welcoming. ||Our room though was extremely dated and in much need of a make over. ||It was clean though, but the carpet was almost worn to the floor boards. The TV was smaller than my laptop screen and the shelf was almost falling down. ||The bed was comfy though and we did get a good nights sleep.||Location is perfect, 5 mins to the train station and beach. Such a lovely area. ||Breakfast was nice too.||I wouldnt stay again but for location its perfect. It really just needs...
