A friend and I found this little gem on booking.com. We just wanted somewhere for the night after going to see a show at the Blackpool Winter Gardens Theatre. Booking through booking.com was dead easy and the place has two car parking spots outside which can be reserved. I messaged through the app to reserve one of these spaces and the replies were super quick! ||We arrived at the hotel and we were greeted by one of the staff members who showed us our room. We booked a budget room and stayed in room 8. It was clean, bright and had all of the facilities we needed (double bed, tv mounted on the wall, tea and coffee facilities and a separate small room with a toilet and sink. Due to us booking the budget room, the shower was a separate room on the main corridor and was only for the use of our room (not shared). If you’re ever needing to use it, please ask the staff beforehand as it took me a while to figure it out. There is a switch external to the room that needs to be turned on for the shower to work. The adjacent rooms (7 and 9) have their own en-suites but are more expensive. The view from our room looked towards the Main Street and we could see the Blackpool tower in the distance. Fresh, clean towels were provided and the hotel was very quiet throughout the night. The bed was comfortable and exactly what we needed for the night. ||We paid £55 for the budget double room and were very impressed with the service. Will definitely...
Read moreLocation good, thats it, hotel changed hands last year, we stay twice a year normally, October was an experience, decided to give another chance.... there for 6 nights, 5 of which we used a bucket to flush toilet, in the end used another room for toilet but had to ask for a key, had 3 breakfasts the entire time first one was late, second was very late and cold and the third was not nice at all..... Had to ask for room to be cleaned, No towel for bathroom floor, had to ask for one, had to ask for bin to be emptied, No cups in bathroom anymore for toothbrushes, all little touches that previous owner did gone. Dinning room changed to bar area, not nice, Windows filthy and I mean filthy....... Sorry Never Again and it upsets me to post this as loved this b&b and always has same room, booked hotel up road for October and next February already..... it used to be great price with so much extra value and welcoming, now you get what you pay for, didn't pay a lot but my cats were treated better whilst we were away. I will be writing to visit England as should not be 3 stars anymore needs to be 1 (if that).......😣 I think every repeat customer has now left and gone elsewhere... such...
Read moreBed was average nothing spectacular but for the price you wouldn't expect any better The land lady Marissa was plesent and always making sure everything was ok altho wasn't always there but as you imagine they have to live aswell
The only thing I could suggest to the hotel is maybe upgrading there towels to bathsheets from small bath towels but got dryed none the less
The lastnight the fire alarm went off which there was no safty check or evacuation done which concerned a few of the lodgers and Marissa's son didn't really know how to reset the fire alarm
Over all our stay was fine and as said before in review I wouldn't expect anymore for the money
Also the lounge was always closed unsure why but would be nice for somewhere to sit other than room maybe another suggestion to the landlady
Also location is 5 mins from all amenities
I understand Marissa is relevantly new over the last year or 2 and is maybe still trying different ideas out
I hope this review can be help to both Marissa and to anyone...
