We stayed in this hotel for the weekend for a birthday weekend and we were shocked to find that the window in the room (room 6) looked like it needed replacing. At first we thought it was condensation, but as it warmed up and got later in the day, we realised that it wasn’t getting any better. The shower wasn’t powerful at all and you couldn’t get the right temperature. The rooms were a little bit dated too. Other than being located close enough to the front for us, we won’t be staying here again.
In my mother-in-law’s room (room 7), there was a curtain pinned/stapled to the wall hiding where the plaster etc was coming off the wall (looked awful) and wooden posts across the window too. It’s as if they had something to hide with how it looked. There was also damp above the window and wallpaper was peeling.
We weren’t told that there wasn’t any parking either, so we had to pay for parking elsewhere.
The landlord didn’t know who was staying at this hotel, as we were stood outside with our keys and he asked if we were checking in and what rooms we were in, even though we checked in the day before and he’d seen us plenty of times throughout that day.
We wouldn’t recommend this hotel and we have learnt our lesson and will be checking reviews before we book...
Read moreSuch a lovely warm welcome, really lovely pleasant man very helpful regarding parking. Told us where our room was and if we needed anything to ask.|The hotel is very close to sea front literally 5 minutes, short parking outside but car park you can see opposite. |The room we had (No 7) though small was adequate for us, clean, and had hairdryer, on suite and provides shower gels (personally I think owner should save money and not supply shower products) maybe small hand soap. Tea, coffee in rooms with proper makes, not cheap supermarket brand. The bed was comfortable as was the pillows.|Though the room was slightly cold the heater provided took off some of the chill, but didn’t cause a problem once tucked up under quilting.||I feel so sorry for owners of hotels etc, there in a no win situation, it sadly need thousands spent on refurbishing the hotel, but would they get the money back? Yes the prices can go up to help but that would mean making a lot of changes not sure. It’s in a great location and up against lots of hotels. |I would return again to here if I was coming back to Blackpool.|I don’t think you can complain for the price of the room, it’s clean, tidy and...
Read moreAttended with my husband and 3 children for the weekend. Paid £130 bed and breakfast for two rooms for two nights, we checked in but the second room was not ready when we arrived, which wasn't a problem as we went straight out anyway and were able to leave personal belongings in the room that was ready. When we went back to the rooms on the night, the second room was made up ready but there was still empty cans of pop behind the beds and on the window ledge and the bins hadn't been emptied and did smell - it was nothing that we couldn't sort ourselves though. Duvets were also stained when I stripped the beds on departure.
Overall, the rooms could have been cleaner, and there was an overwhelming smell of cigarettes throughout our stay (we're not smokers so may have been a more prominent smell for us) and the rooms were quite dusty. Breakfast was amazing, and the manager Charlie did offer to rectify any issues we had. She did make us feel welcome and the Location was ideal too. Would we stay again? No we wouldn't But I suppose we got what...
