Rumbi Island Grill — Restaurant in Ammon

Looked at this place several times and finally decided to take the plunge. Glad I did! First time I had their pork with the Rumbi rice (white rice with coconut and red beans) that alone would make a guy go back for seconds. I got a side of their spicy teriyaki and the jalapeno ranch for dipping. Both were tasty. I had to force myself not to eat the whole meal because even for a 1/2 bowl there is enough to satisfy a hungry lunch goer. My next visit I had the grilled chicken with a side of shrimp. As I am not a breast guy when it comes to chicken it seemed dry and I will get either the steak or the sweet pork for my next visit. I also think I will try the noodles if I can keep from getting the Rumbi rice...Their veggies were spot on. Not over or under cooked. My Wife and I went here for the first time, and we enjoyed the food. Here. The staff were welcoming, friendly, kind and informative. The restrooms were clean and tidy and well kept. The food was amazing. We highly recommend this restaurant. And they do offer, takeout, or dining in. I’m just grateful they had big enough. Take home containers. Cause we ordered a lot because we’re hungry. We were expecting small serving sizes, but they were a lot bigger than we expected, but it was so good. It was my first time at this place and was excited to try it because of all the good reviews. The food was good but the experience was awful! I ordered a to go order and was bringing lunch to my husband. I waited for over thirty minutes for my food. Thank goodness my husband’s work schedule is flexible and he can move his lunch hour around, if not he would not have been able to eat.
