I love ulta but don’t appreciate their customer service. It’s terrible. This was my most recent bad experience. I tried to order online pick up in store and for some reason the app would not allow me to check out. It must of been something on the app end. Regardless I needed some items ASAP so I decided to go in and purchase them. One the ulta website and app it showed an item for 5.25 instead of 7.50. In store it was not 5.25. I went up to the check out and asked her if she could price match. She said no and so I asked her if I could try one more time to buy online pick up in store and do it that way to get the discounted item. She said to go ahead. I tried and it still did not let me to check out and kept popping up the same error. I told her about this and she said I don’t know what to tell you. I also asked her if I could use my rewards points along with the 3.50 coupon for buying 15+. She said no the rewards points wouldn’t work because the item was discounted. On the app both of my coupon and my reward points worked. I explained this to her and she said oh well I don’t know what to tell you. She told me to try to just buy the discounted item online and see if it worked. I did and still same error. She just stood there for a good 5 minutes and I thought she was doing something on her end to help me but she just said yeah I don’t know what to tell you. I then asked her if she could just price match it and she called her manager over. The manager was just as rude as her. I showered her the ulta app where it showed up at the discounted rate. She didn’t even bother to look at my phone and said she needed to look it up on her own and see it come up discounted. Sure enough after she looked it up it was discounted. She said they would change the price but did not look pleased about it. I asked her if my rewards points could be used along with my 3.50 coupon. She said yes with an annoyed voice. She then told me "Well does NYX have a sale on their stuff? I shrugged and told her I didn’t know I just knew that on the app it was a discounted price. She did not wish me a good day nor told me anything else after that. I felt stupid and embarrassed. This is not the first time I have had a bad experience at this store. But...
Read moreThe only good thing about this store is Jackie. She helped me pick out an amazing primer and brow makeup the first time I visited. The second time I visited, she wasn't there until I was leaving. I was looking for a foundation for my combo skin and I'm new to makeup and skin care and everything, and the girl asked what do you do for skincare? I said, I just wash my face. She said "With what?" I said, "Water?" Then told me that my face needs to be exfoliated. Which is fine. But she asked in a rude tone. She forced a product on to me and was really pushy about getting a brush that's for the foundation and told me to buy it. I didn't want the brush and I wasn't even sure if I liked the foundation. I put the brush down because i didnt know where she got it from. Every one of the employees were gossiping about me and talking about me. I was the only customer in the store. As I was about to buy the foundation, another girl almost forgot to ask if I have an account with them. And then after I made the purchase, she asked me where I put the brush down. I told her that I'd just find it and try to put it back. She glared at me. I found it and walked around for a bit to see where the other girl picked it up. She didn't give me the foundation until I came back. I got in my car and left to go fill up my car. The foundation had a bad smell to it and I really didn't like it and it was already coming off of my face. So i decided to go back and return it. The other girl was rude again and pestered me about why I was returning it and if I used it. Which is fine, but if she said it in a nicer way, I wouldn't have cared. She juust had a rude look to her face. I asked if I could have the money back in cash and she cut me off and said "It will be on your debit card." I said "Alright." I left, then went to sephora, removed the foundation, and 2 girls spent about 30 minutes, with 15 other foundations trying to find the best one for my undertones and light skin. I will not be...
Read moreokay, i love ulta. every other store i have been at, has treated me with utter kindness and respect. i’ve been to a few in las vegas, seattle, boise, and many others. but this one specifically i would never come to again. my two friends and i were doing a bit of a shopping spree. we had all gotten our paychecks from work, which all were a bit higher than usual, and decided to treat ourselves with makeup. we were specifically looking for black lipstick, because the lipsticks we had weren’t nice quality and we were looking for a change. we asked this employee where it was, and right off the bat, she says, “I’m sorry, but i absolutely hate your piercing.” i have a smiley piercing, which is in my mouth and sits above my teeth. that comment really shook me. it was out of the blue, and completely off topic and unprofessional. i would imagine that a beauty store wouldn’t bash on other people’s looks, or piercing preferences. very unprofessional. she then decided to yell across the store at another employee, telling her to show my friends and i where the black lipstick was. my question is, why couldn’t she do that herself? i understand she might have been busy. but that doesn’t make up for the fact it was rude and inconsiderate, considering we were right next to her. the loud noise of her yelling shook me into an anxiety attack, and it didn’t die down until i got home. even when we were escorted to where the supposed black lipstick was, it wasn’t there. the other lady had taken us to where the too faced lipstick was, and there wasn’t any black lipstick there. this place is very unprofessional, and rude. i don’t recommend it. like i said before, i love ulta. but...
