I had a horrifying experience at this motel. During a bike ride from Hollywood to Huntington Beach, part of my bike’s wheel fell apart. Desperate, I booked the nearest, cheapest motel on Booking.com: Best Budget Inn. I made a reservation (it was automatically for 2 people) and paid online using my credit card. I walked with my bike to the motel right after booking.||Upon arrival, the front desk lady immediately informed me that bikes weren’t allowed in the motel, pointing to a rule on the window. After I explained my situation, she seemed sweet and let me bring my bike to the room but demanded a $100 cash deposit. I saw the credit card machine and was ready to give my credit card, but she asked for cash, saying the security deposit was cash only. I had no choice and gave her $100 in cash.||In my room, I connected with my friend, who was able to come to the motel and fix my bike. He also suggested bringing a good friend of his who works at a bike shop and knows how to fix everything. I informed the front desk that two people would be visiting, and she approved. My friends arrived, spent approximately 40 minutes fixing the bike, and left. Later that night, a food delivery guy brought my order to my room.||The next morning, when I was checking out, the front desk lady refused to return my $100, claiming I had too many visitors. That was shocking! She even included a random man in a wheelchair who tried to enter my room at 4 a.m. WHAT AN ABSURDITY! Her attitude turned rude and aggressive, and she invited the other guy (I believe her husband) to help kick me out. I told them I was going to stay right there and called Booking.com Customer Support and told them about the entire situation.||Meanwhile, during my call, another guy went to check out. And guess what? She didn’t give him his $100 either, telling him that he destroyed the bed sheets, which he denied, saying the sheets were already in bad condition. They started screaming at each other, and at some point, I realized that the guy was walking to his car. The front desk man rushed out and followed him with a few oranges in his hands. Can you imagine what he did? He threw the oranges at the guy’s car, very hard! The guy left his car, and they started loudly arguing. The motel manager was extremely rude to him, literally threatening to beat him up. Finally, the guy returned to his car and just left. At some point, I had to interrupt my conversation with the Booking.com agent to make a video of this fight, and I caught a little piece of it, which I am going to tag to this review.||Long story short, the Booking.com agent tried to call the motel right away and spoke to these people about my case, but there was no result. The lady lied, saying I had four people in my room when the room was booked only for 1 person, which was against the rules, and the agent could not do anything at that point. I had to leave the motel, literally ripped off.||A couple of days later, I contacted Booking.com again, requesting a $100 refund back to my credit card from the original payment, but they refused. Additionally, I was unable to post my review about this experience on their website. The review I submitted was not approved for publishing, which seemed very suspicious. The Booking.com agents were very disappointing and appeared uninterested in helping resolve the issue with the motel.||In conclusion, I need to say that this motel is a complete disaster! The front desk people who manage it are CRIMINALS, exploiting and tricking innocent guests. Authorities need to investigate and stop their illegal activities!||I absolutely recommend staying away from this motel! And in case you have a situation similar to mine and want to report your incident to some authorities, feel free to use my review as an example of the illegal activities of the motel...
Read moreWorse place I’ve ever stayed. Let along the horrible hotel. The staff and “owner” are scam artist at its finest. Checked in at night. 100 dollar deposit is annoying as I never carry cash and had already booked online. 2 young men were teasing about being frustrated for not having cash. Received my card to go in the room. Walking towards the room with hands full of stuff. They are yelling calling me back to the window Asking for my license for the 3rd time. As if they kept forgetting to get the info or something. 30 mins later finally got to the room. No wifi. They wrote it on a piece of paper. Wrong password. Now the WORSE PART, I stayed for one night by myself. My girlfriend flew in early in the am with her fam , so I picked her up but still had my stuff to pack. And empty the room She didn’t shower. She didn’t sleep over. She just helped me re organize my bag and laundry. Went to get my deposit and the lady was already with a horrible attitude. And said that she was keeping my deposit. There was no explaining to this lady anything. She knew she was wrong and said I’m going to charge you $35 for the hour she stayed. I was upset. But I said fine doit. Just give me the rest back. She wouldn’t. She kept arguing. I must of told her 7 times to charge me and give me the money back. The lady is on a power trip. Just wants to take peoples money for any reason. It wasn’t until I said You won, no one’s is arguing with you That she felt that she was arguing with herself. I been traveling for years and staying at low star hotels, but never have I ever been so disrespected. Posting this review in sadness for that family and the negativity they bring...
