Quality Inn & Suites Anaheim Maingate — Hotel in Anaheim

I booked this motel 1 week in advance, I have stayed here before one time and it went GREAT the receptionist was amazing it was some older guy. This time I was met by Owen some bald guy. The previous time I stayed I had booked online and this last time as well. I called days before to let them know I was checking in late and I asked if I needed anything other then my ID at check in and was told No. I arrived to the motel at 11pm, after our day long trip from one of the Disneyland parks obviously. There is literally no parking what's so ever, NONE but if you read the reviews before booking you will know that. Once I walked inside the lobby I was greeted by Owen, I asked if there was any additional parking he said that's all they have and there's nothing they can do about it, I proceeded to try and get checked in but then Owen said I would need my physical debit card I used to book the room online... I didn't not have it on me. I specifically asked If I needed anything upon checking in advanced and was told no. Owen said he would not be able to let me check in unless he can charge a 100$ deposit on another debit card for me to check in to a room I literally already payed a night and deposit for. Owen was being a bit rude and had a smurk on his face the whole time which made it more annoying. I was really tired by then and really wanted to get my toddlers home. I took my L and drove back home, which is 2 hours away from Anaheim. I visit Disneyland frequently and book motels overnight so I don't have to drive home really late because it's safer for my kids. I would really recommend you book with Quality inn at the Park instead idk if management is the same but that motel has way more parking and better communication, staff is also friendly the breakfast area is bigger for multiple guess. This motel also gives crack head vibes and makes it feel sketchy when checking in late from any of the Disneyland parks. If you do wanna stay here because it is the cheapest rate near Disneyland just know u get what you pay for and bring ur physical debit card that u used when booking the motel and be ready to park on the street or not have any parking at all. As for a refund I highly doubt I will be getting one, if they have rude receptionist working for them I can just imagine the stuff management is going to say about how this is my fault for not...

Its just a step up from a motel 6. It may have been a motel 6 at one time. If we weren't so tired when we arrived we may have looked for another place. We felt taken by the price. My wife even saw that similar rooms were cheaper online the day we arrived. They would not price match saying the extra amount was for the sofa bed. The actual sofa looked like it had not been cleaned or it was worn over many years. The pull out bed was like any hide-a-bed. Seems like the pricing would be more competitive in Anaheim but to be fair I didn't actually look. The interior was nice and that kind of makes it deceiving when viewing pics online. The floor in the bathroom was uneven. The TV was tiny. The window covering did not fully cover the window. A towel had very questionable stains. The room smelled funny. There were no smoking signs everywhere but someone was obviously smoking and did a terrible job trying to hide it. They were only doing a bagged breakfast because of COVID which consisted of a packaged pastry, granola bar, snack size apple sauce and small water bottle. They stated room service was unavailable due to COVID; that actually didn't bother me much but thought others would want to know. They were paving the parking lot one of the days we were there. If they had been up front about that when booking we probably would not have booked. They had to valet our vehicle to another site even though we left before they started and came back after it was done. The parking spaces are tiny; difficult for a van or truck. The only ice machine was outside room 208. Thankfully we were not in that room and I would not suggest letting them book you in that room. Its nice that it had a fridge and microwave. The beds were comfy, which is sometimes all that matters. The shower was kind of weak; it streamed out evenly but only a little better than a trickle. The fixtures did not look installed properly but they worked. The staff was otherwise nice except for not price matching. If staying on a weekend the Disneyland fireworks are clearly visible...

I was charged twice for the stay. I still haven't gotten my $154 back. I paid in full on the 21st of February to stay over night the 22nd and 23rd... I had called right after making payment to let them know that I would be checking in after disneyland closed and would be checking out the 23rd . I explained that disneyland closed at midnight and wakes to confirm that my family would be able to still check in without any issue. They replied that wouldn't be a problem and that they would put that information in the notes. Then again on the 22nd while at disneyland I called again just to make sure they knew we were coming after midnight to check in... they said it's was perfectly fine. When I got there the employee who said his name was Owen was extremely rude making me feel like I hadn't yet paid for my stay and that I had to pay the same about again. When I expressed my consent he weirdly started laughing at me along if I'm going to want the room or not as if I didn't pay again my family and I would be out of a place to stay for the night. We had an rally morning ahead of us at disneyland park again the morning of the 23rd so we just paisld it under the impression that it was just a security deposit and that I would get it back the next morning. It's now the 27th of February and I'm still waiting g on my money to go back into my account. The man Owen was really unprofessional and seemed under the influence of some kind of stimulant substance due to his twitching and weired laughter... My daughter didn't feel safe any more and didn't want to stay unfortunately I'm not rich and could not afford to just go to another hotel. Other than that the actual hotel property was really nice, clean and the house keepers were very friendly. Unfortunately I will probably never stay there again after...
