This place was amazing! 5/5 10/10 just the best. After being bitten by roaches at the Queens Inn down the road at 1am I was frantically calling places to find a new room. At 2 am I reached Mike at California Inn. He let us come check in at 2am and have a discount. They have snack and drinks daily and were so polite. I can not even begin to explain how cool it was to see the fireworks from this location. The hotel itself is so nice and sleek. The marble in the stairs and showers looks amazing. Like heaven! The barn door to the bathroom is so cute and the bed is beyond comfortable . They literally go out of their way to make you feel happy. This place saved my vacation for real. I was freaking out Friday after finding bugs and having to fight with the person at queens in hotel for a refund. I called california inn and they said no problem just let me know when you will be here. 30 mins later I had packed my bags and we ubberes over and they greased us and let us check in. Never did I think I would find a place like this the hotel itself looks new because it is. It is elegant like classy in a throw back style. The little fridgidares are so cute and the barn doors to the bathroom are awesome. It is like a throw back to 50’s or 60’s style with a modern take. We had the mermaid room and it was beautiful. Never heard any other guests. It is literally like less than a mile walk to Disney and just two bus stops which the bus comes every 15 mins. We made every reservation even when running late and I felt safe the entire time. The night we found it my partner and I were fighting and I was almost in tears about how to find a new place. Out of nowhere we find the california inn and it was a god send. They are nice to people of all races genders sexual orientation they don’t care. They went out of their way to be so nice and they even have tic tac toe (giant versions for kids). Literally the best hotel I have stayed...
Read moreFrom the start, the hotel has amazing reviews between Yelp and Google reviews. It also looks like the hotel has been renovated recently which is a huge plus. However, this slowly deteriorated. Once we arrived, the host was very nice but it threw me off a little when he said that they didn't need to collect a security deposit. It also said that they charge $10 a night for parking but upon arrival he said they do not charge for parking. Again, this is nice but they should update their website. Once we got to our room, it was filled with gnats. It was completely disgusting, we spent the first 2 hours killing about 50 gnats between the bedroom and the bathroom. The hotel was renovated similar to other photos that other reviewers have left, but the rooms are not cleaned at all. We had 9 towels provided to us in our bathroom. We have 2 main concerns, 1) half of the towels were from Hilton and the other half were from various off brands. Does this mean that the owner of the hotel just stole Hilton towels and now uses them for their guests? Also there was only 1 towel in that bathroom that did not have a stain on it. All of the towels either had a yellow or red stain which we attributed to urine or blood. The second concern was the stains on the bed. The bed had numerous stains on it, mostly of which were old blood stains. The top blanket also had yellow and red stains. We called the front office and asked them about this, his response "What do you need from me?" This literally left me struck as I didn't know how to respond to that. The host later arrived with another blanket. Low and behold, this blanket had more stains on it that the first one. I would not recommend anyone to stay here unless you really don't care about how clean the room is. There were various marks, damage, bodily fluids left all...
Read moreWe were looking for a quick one night staycation near Disneyland so we decided to give California Inn a shot since the photos showed what a cute boutique motel this place was. I was immediately drawn to the sleek aesthetic of the place and the price was very good! ||The location was perfect as it was close enough to the park and restaurants with just a short car ride away, but still far enough from it so there is easy parking and still able to avoid the crowds and foot traffic. I should also add one of our criteria was that we could leave the park mid-day for a quick shut eye and hop back in the evening, so this was perfect.||Our room was “Under the Sea” inspired and their attention to the modern, yet minimalistic design features made our stay all the most stylish and comfortable. Their attention to detail in the design was impeccable in everything from the themed light fixtures to the logo-branded mugs and trays. The bed was so relaxing with its memory foam topper that it was hard to get out of bed. We also loved the amenities the room provided, including a smart TV with streaming apps, complimentary water bottles with even sparking water options, various snacks including chips and candies, as well as our own mini Keurig machine for coffee. They also provide the cutest Frigidaire mini fridge perfect to keep our snacks chilled and ice packs frozen.||The overall vibes was this place was very charming. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and this motel is definitely a hidden gem for anyone looking for a place to stay near Disneyland or a...
