We have been camping for over 25 years living and average 140 nights a year and we have never experienced a campground an unprofessional, clueless and arrogant as this one. Their campsite math is completely unacceptable and when we asked for a breakdown of the bill we were treated like we should be happy they were allowing us to stay there and it felt like they were questioning if we could afford to stay there .PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND UNDERSTAND THE BILL!!! Their site measurements are for your camping unit ONLY. If you have a tow vehicle or are towing a vehicle you must pay per night for a parking spot, whether it fits on the site or not. So, a 40X14ft standard site can accommodate a travel trailer of 20 feet or less BUT a motorhome of 40 ft or less. If your travel trailer is 21ft you MUST pay for a parking spot even if your total length is less than 40 ft. They neglected to tell us this information when we booked our site and were quoted $500 the weekly rate and we paid the deposit. We called to ask a question and during the conversation they mentioned our total $740.61. We asked how we added $240 when the website stated $500. The woman could not explain the breakdown and could only tell us that we must pay for our truck to park and the website are not actual prices!! When we asked how we would have known this and she laughed and said you probably wouldn’t, you would have had to pay it when we arrived. WHAT, WHO HAS EVER HEARD OF THAT! With one story after another and no answers we called and told them we would be staying elsewhere because we needed to know the total! They canceled our site but kept our deposit despite their inability to understand and explain how they charge for a site. The new campground filled in some blanks that is very important to know. IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW – BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU! They just want to fill their campground! If you are in anything other than a motorhome you will need to pay for your vehicle to park! The 40ft RV length restriction includes the length of the hitch Despite their sites being able to accommodate a 40ft rig their campground is extremely tight and sites may be very difficult to back in if longer than 35ft. If you have a larger RV or slide-outs it is recommended you book Deluxe space or Deluxe space + parking. Standard sites may be too narrow to extend awning There is no guarantee your vehicle will be parked next to or near your RV you are only paying for a spot. Despite Disneyland being a family destination, their campsites are for 2 people only. You must pay for each additional person over 10 years old. You must pay for your family pet. You will need to pay for the pool key but should get it back. Any standard site is a parking lot no grass. Any time it says grass it is synthetic grass - AstroTurf The very small strip of grass on a site has a fee attached. Must be manufactured by a recognized maker or you must provide photos and copy of valid DMV Registration You must have a 25ft...
Read moreWe had family stay here about 10 years ago and finally got the opportunity to bring our own trailer down. Our RV unit is 40 foot and with the Deluxe site plus parking fit our trailer and dually truck perfectly. We had ample space to have our double stroller out and there was still room for chairs and tables if you’re setting up a full camp get up. The turf was also in great condition and was SUCH a nice addition to the park. And the picnic tables were very nice and in good shape.
The staff were overall friendly, they did come check on us at check out so that felt a little odd as it was 10:45, but she was still courteous. The pool was well maintained and it was great that it was salt water and a great temperature, we enjoyed it on arrival night and the kids had a blast.
The walk to Disneyland is SO convenient, it might be a much for little legs especially because the overpass for the I-5 is quite steep on both sides but we had our stroller so was able to pile all three kids onto it for the walks there and back. We did book the transit bus the first day but it wasn’t worth the hassle as walking would get us there at the same time if not 5-10 minutes sooner dependent on the bus schedule. You’re already walking literal miles during the day so another two miles wasn’t a make or break for us but could be a hindrance for others. The bus pick ups are very close to the rv park entrance so if you’re needing an option to cut down on walk times then the bus I think is a much better alternative to Uber or Lyft.
We have another trip booked for the park in a few months and will be bringing our trailer again and most likely for the majority of our future trips. We were very happy with Anaheim Harbor and would recommend staying there if it’s an...
Read moreThis park is really nice. It's very close to Disneyland (just a few minutes walk). The spots are wide enough to move a bigger Class A in and out of, but they're not terribly long as all California square footage is at a premium. If you are lucky enough to get put next to one of the astro-turfed spots, you can use it as a 'front yard' during your stay. We got one of those spots as it was the last one left, but I'm not sure if it's an extra charge or not to request one ahead of time. Draw back of the park is the street noise as you're pretty close to a very heavy use roadway. Pets need to be leashed at all times by policy of course, but keep an eye on them especially due to proximity to the very active roadway. Their grill and 'patio' areas (there are 2 in the middle of the park) are really nicely done, well lit, and very clean. Gas fire pits are on most nights and there's always people hanging out making new friends. The back half of the park is for the long-term residents, and it's a mix of newish and old rigs. The aisles are very tight in the back so if you're arriving or leaving and you're in anything 25' or longer, try to stick to the front half of the park! A lot more pros than con's at this park though, and top of the list is the staff. They know RV's, their park, the area, and how to get issues dealt with. A close second is the NIGHTLY fireworks show over Disneyland that you can see from right out your window in the park, and you don't even have to buy a ticket to watch!
If we come through the area again, this is our park of choice even if Disney isn't on...
