One star is way too much!!!!! We reserved a room here for the High Point Market (Fall 2023) we had to spend 3 nights here. I am truly traumatized by my experience at this Days Inn. And caution everyone who plans to stay here in the future.. Where do I start? How about the walk down the creepy outdoor walkway to our room only to walk in and see a big cockroach on the floor near the bed … yes floor…because there was no carpeting in the room. The room was less than basic. Later there was another cockroach seen in the bathroom. The sheets had burn holes and stains (see pictures). The room was less than basic .The very minimum was provided in it’s worse form. Broken lamps, pls sticky furniture, broken microwave, the paint and grouting in the bathroom looked like it was DIY’er by a 10 year old. Let it be noted that the room cost was $200 plus PER NIGHT!

As I walked back to the lobby hoping to get some coffee (via sidewalk to the lobby) I saw plugged holes on the outside of other rooms. Also saw pots full of food being taken to one of the room perhaps the owners were residing in one of the rooms. The receptionist was told about the roach situation and she totally denied it and said she never heard about it before. On the way back to the room I saw there was a huge spider in the lobby (see pic). Perhaps it was enjoying the scent of Marijuana that was spread throughout the hallways

I was so grossed out by now that I spent and hour in my car trying to figure out how I will sleep through the night.

Anyhow, since all other hotels were booked, we did not have a choice so we HAD to stay there. Perhaps THIS is the reason the owner of this hotel may continue to NOT do anything about these issues as I see similar reviews below from a year ago.

Kind request is that if you are trying to run a business, at least have respect for your customers and at least provide the basic service that is expected when one is paying a decent price.

I have learned my lesson to book my room a year ahead of time and stay where I can get some sleep and rest… I mean, isn’t that why one...

Used this motel in the past, for business in high point for car repairs for quite a few car dealerships that only needing specialized motor and transmission changed out, needing a hot tub room, glad that they had one available but the one that was available was right across from the laundry room, when trying to exit my room cleaning ladies had my door blocked with their cleaning buggies, I'm trying to speak with them, they cannot speak English, I got the room because of the heat and body pain from working very hard during the heat wave we're having, I tried to ask them for some indigent soaps ,they did not understand I was just trying to get out with my lady so that she can find out why the room did not have a remote control, I was told by the front desk that none of the rooms had remote controls you had to control the TV by the controls on the TV itself, which is appeared to have been a lie by when checking out the deposit that was put up for the room was almost denied because of a remote was it in the room when the room was checked upon leaving, I was going to leave that guy but decided not to which it was a mistake I should have left when it was on my mind at the time because I didn't get much sleep or rest, because of all the buggy noise and the noise coming from the laundry room across from the room itselt, wandering should have been done early in the mornings before checkout time, not during the day when occupants paid money just for rest, not to mention the roaches lay Dead all around, very disgusting, noticed a smoking room and would be scared to even dare into that room, the foul smell of drug make you sick, when the rooms been left open as you having to walk by them to go to the office to let them know that room keys don't work every time that you try and use them you have to go walking right back to the front passed all the unfumigated drug rooms, used to use this place very often years back but I see now this is not a good place to take anybody to they need to step up their game because of other motels around have better quality and...

When we arrived the woman who checked us in told us that our request to stay in the "tower" which is the slightly less disgusting group of rooms in this hotel had been denied. Even though we had booked the upgraded room 51 weeks in advance and had the paperwork to prove it, we said that we understood and made our way to our non-smoking room. The walk to the room revealed that the local homeless population must frequent the hotels corridors for use as a restroom. The urine smell smacked us in the face like a prize fighter's upper-cut. There were also repeated body blows as the stinging top notes of human bile permeated our nostrils. I was barely able to restrict my gag reflex after seeing and smelling the evidence that others hadn't been so lucky. The good news is that the smell of our "Non-smoking" room made us forget about the urine and vomit because it smelled like a smokey basement scene out of The Deer Hunter. I can only assume that there had actually been some crimes against humanity committed in our room because there were blood stains on the carpeting and on the mattress visible through the thin sheet and mattress pad. I felt like I was playing a sadistic game of Twister on the visibly soiled sheets as I was trying to keep my left foot off of the yellow spot and my right hand off of the red one. It was a game with no winners. We again asked to change rooms and were denied that request a second time. To call this hotel unaccommodating and dirty would be severe understatements. We were here for a trade show and unable to leave. Please, for the love of God, don't consider staying here. I'm begging you for the sake of posterity. Please don't read this thinking that I'm overstating the level of disgust that I have for this establishment. I assure you that every word is true.

P.S. There was always enough hot water and...

Shocking to see that Wyndham put its name on it! I booked this stay as I was coming to a professional show in High Point, I ve been coming to this show for years and stayed in all sorts of hotels. Knowing that it is Days Inn I surely was not expecting luxury, but I was expecting a passable basic room. The check-in went fine, an important note here is that I had to sign a non-smoking waver that informed me of a big fine in case someone smokes in the room. I walked into the room and could hardly breathe, as per cigarette smoke being so present in the room. The worst thing happened when I turned over the bedsheets. All the nastiest things in the world were present there at once: sperm stains, mold stains, period/blood stains, cigarette burns, and God knows what else! Both beds were equally disgusting. Do not get me wrong - the room was prepared for the stay and the beds were made. I immediately called to the reception and complained. When the manager arrived she told me, I quote, "next time you shall book rooms in the towers, the room you booked is reserved for short stay locals who want quickies. But because of the furniture show we rent all the rooms we can to business travellers" WHAT???? btw, the rate at that time was 280 dollars a night! (I was charged 635 at the check-in for 3 nights) I could not imagine staying at that place and canceled my stay, even though it was about midnight time and I was exhausted from the travel. Nearest available hotel was 40 minutes away. I was advised to call to the manager next morning to process the refund only to find out that BECAUSE I BOOKED THROUGH THE THIRD PARTY THEIR POLICY IS THAT I AM NOT ELIGIBLE TO A REFUND. I had to take it to a credit card company and they opened a dispute... NEVER STAY HERE! SEE PICTURES ATTACHED!

The lobby and rooms are adequately cleaned and painted and smells fresh but the common areas need alot of work, nasty elevator carpet, dirty hallways. And you can tell from the amount direction and different layers of debris on the carpet it has been quite a few days since it has been vacuumed. The outside trash cans however are emptied with fresh bags. So someone here cleans really well but just doesn't cover those areas. Seriously the elevator floor looks like a mechanics shop kinda grease the walls have some liquid residue as well in some areas. In summary whoever does the rooms needs to take care/train the rest of the cleaning/painting crew. Lady at the front desk needs to know the layout of where she works as well had to search for our rooms which is terrible after working all day. It's like they are Midway through a remodel and they didn't bother to put up an excuse our mess sign. Just got back from dinner. Lamp power cable is cut, telephone cable is ripped up and there is a science experiment growing behind the fridge. And some dirt behind the cabinets. The closer I look the more I itch.
