One star is way too much!!!!! We reserved a room here for the High Point Market (Fall 2023) we had to spend 3 nights here. I am truly traumatized by my experience at this Days Inn. And caution everyone who plans to stay here in the future.. Where do I start? How about the walk down the creepy outdoor walkway to our room only to walk in and see a big cockroach on the floor near the bed … yes floor…because there was no carpeting in the room. The room was less than basic. Later there was another cockroach seen in the bathroom. The sheets had burn holes and stains (see pictures). The room was less than basic .The very minimum was provided in it’s worse form. Broken lamps, pls sticky furniture, broken microwave, the paint and grouting in the bathroom looked like it was DIY’er by a 10 year old. Let it be noted that the room cost was $200 plus PER NIGHT!
As I walked back to the lobby hoping to get some coffee (via sidewalk to the lobby) I saw plugged holes on the outside of other rooms. Also saw pots full of food being taken to one of the room perhaps the owners were residing in one of the rooms. The receptionist was told about the roach situation and she totally denied it and said she never heard about it before. On the way back to the room I saw there was a huge spider in the lobby (see pic). Perhaps it was enjoying the scent of Marijuana that was spread throughout the hallways
I was so grossed out by now that I spent and hour in my car trying to figure out how I will sleep through the night.
Anyhow, since all other hotels were booked, we did not have a choice so we HAD to stay there. Perhaps THIS is the reason the owner of this hotel may continue to NOT do anything about these issues as I see similar reviews below from a year ago.
Kind request is that if you are trying to run a business, at least have respect for your customers and at least provide the basic service that is expected when one is paying a decent price.
I have learned my lesson to book my room a year ahead of time and stay where I can get some sleep and rest… I mean, isn’t that why one...
Read moreUsed this motel in the past, for business in high point for car repairs for quite a few car dealerships that only needing specialized motor and transmission changed out, needing a hot tub room, glad that they had one available but the one that was available was right across from the laundry room, when trying to exit my room cleaning ladies had my door blocked with their cleaning buggies, I'm trying to speak with them, they cannot speak English, I got the room because of the heat and body pain from working very hard during the heat wave we're having, I tried to ask them for some indigent soaps ,they did not understand I was just trying to get out with my lady so that she can find out why the room did not have a remote control, I was told by the front desk that none of the rooms had remote controls you had to control the TV by the controls on the TV itself, which is appeared to have been a lie by when checking out the deposit that was put up for the room was almost denied because of a remote was it in the room when the room was checked upon leaving, I was going to leave that guy but decided not to which it was a mistake I should have left when it was on my mind at the time because I didn't get much sleep or rest, because of all the buggy noise and the noise coming from the laundry room across from the room itselt, wandering should have been done early in the mornings before checkout time, not during the day when occupants paid money just for rest, not to mention the roaches lay Dead all around, very disgusting, noticed a smoking room and would be scared to even dare into that room, the foul smell of drug make you sick, when the rooms been left open as you having to walk by them to go to the office to let them know that room keys don't work every time that you try and use them you have to go walking right back to the front passed all the unfumigated drug rooms, used to use this place very often years back but I see now this is not a good place to take anybody to they need to step up their game because of other motels around have better quality and...
Read moreWhen we arrived the woman who checked us in told us that our request to stay in the "tower" which is the slightly less disgusting group of rooms in this hotel had been denied. Even though we had booked the upgraded room 51 weeks in advance and had the paperwork to prove it, we said that we understood and made our way to our non-smoking room. The walk to the room revealed that the local homeless population must frequent the hotels corridors for use as a restroom. The urine smell smacked us in the face like a prize fighter's upper-cut. There were also repeated body blows as the stinging top notes of human bile permeated our nostrils. I was barely able to restrict my gag reflex after seeing and smelling the evidence that others hadn't been so lucky. The good news is that the smell of our "Non-smoking" room made us forget about the urine and vomit because it smelled like a smokey basement scene out of The Deer Hunter. I can only assume that there had actually been some crimes against humanity committed in our room because there were blood stains on the carpeting and on the mattress visible through the thin sheet and mattress pad. I felt like I was playing a sadistic game of Twister on the visibly soiled sheets as I was trying to keep my left foot off of the yellow spot and my right hand off of the red one. It was a game with no winners. We again asked to change rooms and were denied that request a second time. To call this hotel unaccommodating and dirty would be severe understatements. We were here for a trade show and unable to leave. Please, for the love of God, don't consider staying here. I'm begging you for the sake of posterity. Please don't read this thinking that I'm overstating the level of disgust that I have for this establishment. I assure you that every word is true.
P.S. There was always enough hot water and...
