A last minute reservation for a solo traveler passing through. Quite disappointed that I paid in full up front then received an immediate email telling me that their kitchen was closed and scones would be provided in the morning. I got there at 10:30pm, using the directions that were emailed to me and not using my GPS as directed by the innkeeper. Unfortunately the directions provided me were wrong, turning left instead of right. I ended up using my GPS and found it within 10 minutes. No signage to indicate the house, poor outside lighting/big front tree. I did recall her note about a white picket fence, so that I did find it after all. Parking was weird, located in the back with poor lighting through the garden, glad I had my mini flashlight. ||||The best thing I can say is that at 2AM, I was woken by a sound coming from my window so I peeked out, and low and behold a for, with 2 brand new fawns... I watched them for about 40 minutes then went to bed. At 6am, was woken again thinking it's the die so I looked out. It was another die and her single fawn walking through the garden. Now that was special. ||||Room- wills study, twin bed tony room in the front of the house, small bathroom, furnished with decent antiques, bed was ok. Pillow was a flat hard pancake. I passed on the scones (don't eat bread/pastries). ||||I gave this review 3 stars because I wanted a quick in/out to finish my journey, and because of the special nighttime view of the deer, I was so close to them I could hear her crooning to them and see their...

Read moreWe stayed in the Jasmine Room which, though it is well furnished was not well maintained. Three was a faucet leaking a constant stream of water which we could not turn off. We reported it when we arrived but it was never fixed in the 3 days we were there. The jacuzzi pump did not work. The person in the office was less than hospitable as we were not greeted when we arrived at 3:30 pm, nor when I spoke to her about our room difficulties when we departed. Our room was only entered once to pull up the bed and coffee, the only amenity offered, was not replenished. This Bed and Breakfast no longer offers breakfast or any other nicety such as cookies and drinks after the play. We had stayed at this B and B prior and our stay had been positive. We have learned this B and B is for sale and, sadly the lack of maintenance and hospitality reflected that fact. What has not changed is it's close proximity to...
