3/02/22 Check out their pizza! Huge pieces for $3.75! Big enough for two people. Sourdough crust. Really like the veggie, those JalapeƱos pack some heat. This is a hearty pizza you will actually have to chew. No grease, feels healthy eating this and will fill you up without making you feel gross.
Back again, 2-20-22 They had Focaccia, day old for $3! Wow!! Made muffaletta at home. Made 4 huge amazing sandwiches. Great bread! Thanks guys.
Update!12/30/20 have been coming back for the bread. No flies now, maybe one of the workers was possessed or it was a demon attached to me like in the Exorcist, or possibly the cooler weather? Anyhow, excellent breads, they sell day-old for half the price (on the big rack to the left when you enter) and it is excellent. The staff are very kind and helpful.
Original post, One Star, Flies flies everwhere, not a place I'd eat! Thought we found our bakery but.... The case with the treats, danish, rolls and cookies, was chock full of fruit flies and house flies... Nooooo spank you! Worker was very nonchalant about it like that's the norm. So I'm wearing a mask and sanitizing my hands constantly but flies on our food is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible service, and the breads aren't great; dry, hard, just a big ball filled with rubber and crust. I didn't want to go, but my girlfriend, who came from Mexico, wanted to try this bakery. When we got there, the attendant looked at us and didn't say anything. We said good morning three times, and he pretended he didn't hear us. It made me want to not buy anything and I was already running out of there. My girlfriend chose a strawberry scone. She told him the name of the thing, and he made a disgusted face and asked, "What did you say?" My girlfriend told him again, and he just gave her the price of the scone with a stern look and didn't say thank you or anything. This attendant is so grumpy. I've been there before and didn't want to go again because, besides having been in the same situation, the breads aren't that great; I can get the same at any supermarket. The employees need to take a customer service course. I don't know why this bakery is well-known here in Ashland, because they don't serve people well or they choose who to serve...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLots of offerings in this bakery. There was no one at the counter though you could hear workers in the back. There was a bell and instructions to ring when ready. Once I decided what I wanted I rang the bell and got a yell back in response. The grumpiest person came up to assist. There is a sign on the discount rack that says ā$1 extra to sliceā which was fine with me. When I asked for it to be sliced he told me it would be $1 extra and I said fine and he proceeded to make the biggest physical reaction to feeling that was such a huge imposition. Ha! The apricot scone and apple turnover were delicious. Whole wheat sourdough (sliced!) is good. Thereās lots of great bakeries around, Iām not sure Iād return...
