I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at Margaritaville, and I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the staff at this establishment lacked the basic understanding of customer service. Here are the numerous issues we encountered during our visit:
Firstly, despite the availability of seating on the second floor, the hostess insisted on seating us at a table on the first floor because she simply did not want to make the effort to walk up the stairs (This stems from a conversation overheard that she doesn’t feel like climbing those stairs again). This initial disregard for our comfort, set the tone for the rest of the evening.
To add to our frustration, we had to repeatedly request a menu and silverware, which should have been provided as soon as we were seated.
While we sat waiting, we watched as other parties were seated and promptly attended to by the waitstaff. It was baffling to witness the lack of interest shown by the waiters and waitresses in taking our order. This negligence resulted in those seated after us receiving their meals long before we had even been approached.
The situation reached its peak when we overheard one of the waiters outright refuse to serve our table even though it was in his section. It was an unacceptable display of unprofessional behavior, leaving us feeling ignored and disrespected.
After multiple attempts to request a server, we were finally attended to by a supervisor. However, even with their presence, the service did not improve significantly. We waited an astonishing 30 minutes before anyone bothered to inquire about our drink orders.
Naturally, the delay in drink service was followed by a prolonged wait for our meals. To make matters worse, when our food finally arrived, it was completely disorganized and haphazard. Sides were served after the main dishes, leading to a chaotic and confusing dining experience.
Throughout our entire meal, not once were our drinks or water refilled. The lack of attention to such basic details was astounding and further exacerbated our dissatisfaction.
Despite addressing the problems we encountered, the resolution offered was insufficient. While the supervisor Rae and the manager attempted to smooth things over by reducing our bill, it hardly compensated for the considerable amount of time wasted on a subpar meal and unprofessional service.
As a result of the restaurant's incompetence, we were even late for our plans afterward. The overall experience was utterly frustrating and left us with a sense of regret for choosing to dine at Margaritaville.
In conclusion, I strongly advise potential customers to carefully consider whether it is worth their time and money to visit this establishment. The inadequate service, coupled with the subpar meal, left a lasting impression of disappointment. The efforts made by the supervisor and manager to rectify the situation were appreciated, but they ultimately failed to provide any real retribution for the wasted time and...
Read moreAbout me, I'm a local, single mom, staying here with my toddler because our home is being used as a shooting location. I have stayed in many hotels for a previous job. ...I cannot say enough about this room. It has everything we need and then some. One of the things that drew me to the hotel was the kitchenette. I wish the hotel had responded to my message about whether the kitchen was stocked with utensils/pots/pans because my only regret is that I didn't bring the eggs! If you're reading this because you know better than to expect something that isn't described (I looked everywhere and there was no mention of anything beyond some burners, a microwave, fridge and a dishwasher) then let me be the only one who is telling you that you are hot to trot in this kitchenette with a set of Henckels knives; drawers of silverware and utensils; cabinets containing pots and pans, a toaster, microwave, dorm sized fridge and a set of pyrex bowls with lids to boot! When your kid inevitably makes a mess, you've got an actual trash can, two rolls of paper towels, a mini dish soap and the happiest sponge you've ever met. There's even a garbage disposal for the random tomato slice your little wonder placed on the window frame. Just in case you overfill the trash, you can get rid of it yourself at the end of the hall without having to waste time praying for housekeeping - this is a plus to me because we accumulate so much trash in the room but don't really need housekeeping. There's even a little broom and rolly floor cleaner thing in the closet! This brings me so much joy because we recently fled to a hotel when the ac died and had none of these things - I was so disgusted with the room after a day I couldn't wait to get out.
Aside from the mega-bonus kitchenette, the rest of the room is fantastic. There's a dimmer switch for everything, a ceiling fan ❤️, everything seems to be well thought out and logical. I always love how Wyndham always has good toiletries - Paul Mitchell shampoos and lotion here. The drapes close all the way. The thermostat isn't ancient. The coffee is Lavazza.
If we could stay here for the same rate for the rest of the week, we would. Despite the $55 daily valet rate - you can totally self park in a lot right behind the hotel (it's not hidden or hard to find but based on what time you go I'm sure parking will be limited. We arrived on Sunday evening and there was plenty of parking. That said, I wasn't leaving the benz out there overnight and schlepping all the bags and tornado toddler any farther than I had to.
The money we'll save by not having to eat out every meal is well worth the cost of the room. The pool looked super nice. Everyone has been very friendly. The location is safe and clean. The elevator key thing was cumbersome but who cares. Very, very pleased...
Read moreI’m a Club Wyndham owner and I’m generally on the fence about Wyndham. The timeshare process is something I probably wouldn’t do again or recommend, but since I’m serving this life sentence with Wyndham I am trying to enjoy these locations. Atlanta is one of the best places I’ve been.
The building itself is prime and close to everything. If you’re coming to a game, the field is close. Coca-Cola is down the street and the Aquarium. Food is walking distance. Centennial Park is across the street and just a nice vibe.
I stayed Presidential Reserve and it really is a very well done suite. Wish I got the park view but its okay. Since this is my first stay at this location I have nothing to compare it to. The PR suite has all the things you could want and it really feels luxe. From my window there is a digital billboard that plays a car accident - over and over. That honestly was the worst part of this suite, but that’s not something that Club Wyndham can do anything about. The location isn’t totally quiet, its in a downtown location and so you can hear the city. I like that but its not for everyone.
Most of all though, Jeffery. Jeffery works in the owners suite and he really cares to be there and make the guest experience a good one. He speaks to everyone, he remembers people, and he really cares about the details. He makes this non-alcoholic Sangria (I know I know) for the guests who don’t drink but want to enjoy the times where drinks are offered. It’s a GREAT drink and I’m sure he could sell it, brand it, etc. Jeffery is a great part of the Wyndham family, a valuable part of the experience. I’ve been to some other locations where they have daily events, but Jeffery hosts - the same way we would host our own friends in our own homes. It makes a difference when someone who doesn’t care is just pouring wine and handing out popsicle’s because they have to be there for an hour versus someone who enjoys hosting. Club Wyndham should model this across their properties because it makes a huge difference.
Lastly, Club Wyndham is a timeshare location (obviously). I really do appreciate when I can just come and not be pressed to go on a tour or session or any of that. I really just want to be on vacation and not be sold. No one pressed me for anything and I appreciate that. Some locations press way too hard to get you to go on a tour or session (ask me and I’ll tell you New York).
