🌮 A Gem in Aurora-Naperville: Asada Mexican Grill
I absolutely love exploring new restaurants, especially when it comes to Mexican cuisine- its vibrant flavors, delicate textures, and endless variety always draw me in. Recently, I visited Asada Mexican Grill in the Aurora-Naperville area, and I can confidently say: this is hands-down the best Mexican grill I’ve ever experienced.
From the moment I walked in, I was struck by how spacious the restaurant is- far larger than any other Mexican spot I’ve tried. It’s immaculately clean, thoughtfully maintained, and the décor is bright, inviting, and full of character. I’m not usually one to take photos while dining, but this place was so visually appealing, I couldn’t resist snapping a few. It’s just that stunning.
🌯 The Menu? A Flavor Fiesta. The variety of dishes blew me away. Whether you’re craving nachos, tacos, burritos, fajitas, or fresh salads, Asada delivers with bold flavors and generous portions. Every bite felt like a celebration of authentic Mexican grill tradition. The potion size is also big. We had ordered only a nachos and a tacos and three of my friends were full with it.
👨👩👧👦 Perfect for Families and Gatherings One of the most pleasant surprises was how family-friendly the atmosphere is. I saw smaller groups of people from 2-3 and also large groups- families of 10 to 15- comfortably enjoying their meals. Kids were having fun venturing the spacious interior. The spacious layout makes it ideal for gatherings.
🤝 Hospitality That Feels Personal Service here is exceptional. The staff genuinely care about your experience, and the owners are always present, ensuring everything runs smoothly. That personal touch makes a real difference- you feel welcomed, not just served.
My friends and I left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for authentic, Zabiha Halal-certified Mexican grill in the area, Asada Mexican Grill is a must-visit. Trust me- you’ll want to come back...
Read moreI was passing by and was hungry so decided to check out Asada Mexican Grill. The restaurant looks very nice and clean, you can see the food being prepped and the atmosphere was nice.
I got the steak burrito dinner, with rice and beans. I asked for a bunch of spicy salsas on the side. I asked the very friendly girl upfront if they were new, she said we just opened yesterday. She was very nice and helpful.
Waited about 12-15 mins got my food and went home across the street. They included complimentary chips which was very nice, the burrito was so SAD, was full of lettuce and not much steak at all, the steak that was in there was bland and had no taste, was very low quality. I was super let down by the burrito, hoping it would be good. The included one green and one red salsa when I asked and am willing to pay for extra. The red salsa was eh, and green did the job. The rice and beans were even worse than the burrito. Absolutely no taste to them, I poured salsa on them also but still was like eating nothing.
Overall was honestly really hoping to like this place since I love Mexican food and live across the street, but to be honest you can clearly tell the owners are not from Mexico, food lacked all kinds of seasoning and was just over all awful. Like I said I ordered the steak burrito dinner, maybe other things are better but won’t be going back to try more. Paid about $16.50...
Read moreA True Hidden Gem — Fresh, Bold, and Unforgettable We have tried a lot of Mexican spots in Aurora-Naperville, but Asada Grill truly stands out — especially for how much care goes into every plate. On our recent visit, I went with the spicy fish platter, and it was hands down one of the most flavorful dishes I’ve had in a long time.
The fish was seared perfectly — tender inside, crisp on the outside — and seasoned with a smoky, spicy rub that hits with just enough heat to wake up your taste buds without overpowering the dish. It came with fluffy rice, well-seasoned with fresh avocados that actually had flavor (rare!). The house salsas and pickled toppings added a perfect customizable kick.
I also sampled the asada steak taco and Barbacoa nachos, both of which lived up to the hype. The nachos were huge, loaded with juicy beef and smothered in a rich, savory sauce. The tacos were soft, indulgent and nachos were ideal for sharing.
Service was fast, the staff was welcoming, and the place was spotless. It’s casual but clearly run with pride. You can taste the difference in every bite.
If you're tired of generic chains and want Mexican food that feels fresh, homemade, and a little fiery, Asada Grill should be at the top of your list. I’ll definitely be back — that fish platter and steak tacos alone is...
