Holy Expensive Milkshakes, Batman! The Yard is definitely a place to check out for the sheer spectacle of it all, but it was a bit of a learning experience. While their creations are creative and visually stunning, the juice isn't quite worth the squeeze in my opinion.
The shakes themselves weren't as thick as a good milkshake should be, and they were incredibly messy to eat. Putting a brownie on top of a mason jar with a mountain of whip cream and sprinkles just doesn't justify a $22 price tag.
On the bright side, the service was great! The staff were all smiling and friendly, which was a definite plus. However, while cute, the space inside is quite small with limited seating, and the place just wasn't as clean as it could have or should have been.
There's a lot of creative effort here, but unfortunately, I feel, the value just doesn't quite match the expense. But then again, you can't really put a price tag on an experience, right? My advice for anyone wanting to check it out: if you don't want to spend $80 on specialty milkshakes for a family of four, just stick to the regular shakes or ice cream or visit one of the many "regular" ice cream shops in town. However, if you want to be be able to say you tried it, go for it, just be prepared for the sticker shock...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreMilkshake was good, though overpriced. 16 dollars. Customer service needs an overhaul. One of the guys working on making shakes actually told the guy at the register to stop taking orders because they were working too hard?? What? The guy taking orders was the only nice one. The girl with orange short dreads that handed us our shakes handed me one that was completely covered in marshmallow cream on the outside to the bottom and all around so I'm trying to hold it from the bottom with two hands. She gave us no spoons or straw, no napkins. Was not friendly at all. We even smiled at her and tried to be nice. Left me standing there in quite the predicament, thankfully my friend was able to fight through the overly crowded inside to get us something to actually consume them with. Then I watched her give someone lids for their jars and we needed one, when I asked her she said " we dont do that anymore... "guess that was in the last few minutes rule change? Honestly go get a pint of your favorite ice cream, a pack of cookies, some sprinkles and save yourself the crowd and...
