Mark's Mattress Outlet — Hotel in Avon

I went in the store to purchase a foam latex mattress. I was so excited and thrilled to find they have one that was on sale for basically half off due to the high price of these kinds of mattresses. Upon delivery, everything was great until I went to the side not facing the doorway. I had 2 very black areas where something had got on my mattress. In complete distress, I rushed to the store to show the associate. She understood my concern and was mad for me. The next day, the regional manager called me to tell me there was nothing they could do but give an in store credit. Her and I both knew this did not do a thing for me as I cannot replace this mattress for what the in store credit would be. She tried to pin the situation on me due to already signing off on the delivery. She tried to say a free mattress topper was enough to let the situation go. She tried to say the quality and structure of the mattress was not messed with. But again, refused to do anything but give me in store credit. I waited THREE years to be able to purchase this mattress but because I signed off on the delivery, they would not replace it even after I stated I would take something similar even though it wouldn’t be exactly the same. Horrible customer service. I will never return to this location, nor will I let any of my friends or family go. I held high standards for this company and my expectations went completely down the drain. I am completely disappointed and furious I have to deal with this. No customer buying an item in this large of amount of money should be treated this way. Completely unacceptable and uncalled for. I hope the rest of their customers don’t have to go through this awful experience.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: there were NO cosmetic damage done to this mattress prior to my delivery. This is displayed in the picture I added of my EXACT mattress in the Avon, IN store. I even helped the associate put plastic around the mattress so no damage was done. The “third party delivery” service pushed my mattress all through the disgusting mess from weather and even pushed the mattress through my apartment to get it to my room then place the side with the damage facing away from my doorway so I would not see it. Then proceeded to have me sign off on the delivery so they could get away with the damage and it would be blamed on me since I didn’t “check” the mattress for any damage. Of course, due to my age, they took advantage of the situation. It is not my fault that I received a good deal and the delivery resulted in cosmetic damage. Although we had a great experience in the store. We were highly dissatisfied with the delivery. We were told delivery date would be on Wednesday July 15, 2020. Baili called at 1pm on Wednesday to let me know their truck broke down and they would have to deliver on Saturday July 18, 2020. Saturday morning came. I called in the morning, spoke to Baili again. She explained that they were loading the truck and it would be delivering between the time I called which was about 11 am and 1 hour and half. At 2:10 we texted the delivery truck and was told they got the wrong address and it would be additional 15 minutes. After 45 minutes the mattress finally arrived. The 2 delivery guys didn't even wear masks the whole time. Everything was blamed on the virus! They only have 1 delivery truck for the Avon and Lafayette, so I guess once they get your money it doesn't matter when you get your mattress or if you are satisfied. I was so happy that Doug was working this Saturday at Mark's Mattress Outlet! I was beyond disappointed after multiple trips to big box mattress stores (with the initials MF) and being suggested two mattresses that did not fit my needs. I came into MMO knowing I sleep hot, need something that supports my back and was interested in latex mattresses. It was so challenging to even find a store that has latex mattress options and I was so happy MMO was one of those. Doug was extremely knowledgeable on the various mattresses I could consider given my criteria and did not sway me on options. I knew latex mattresses are pretty expensive but was pleasantly surprised when the final amount was way below the amount I was expecting!
