We just bought our second bed and we have had nothing but problems with the bed and customer service. If you call the store for help they give you the sorry you have issues can’t help you just call customer service. You can’t get an actual person that speaks English with customer service and they are no help. We paid $16,000 for a bed that didn’t work the way it was supposed and then finally got a date to have someone fix it a month the later. They never notified us when they were on their way and my husband took 3 hrs off of work to wait for them to show up and “fix” the bed for 15 minutes to leave with it still broken. My husband ran after them while they were driving away and told them it still wasn’t working correctly and they told him just reset it and drove off. I called the store to complain and got the oh so sorry can’t do anything for you call customer service. Called customer service again with all the information and they told me that it just has another issue and can schedule me in for another repair visit in 3 weeks. We have had the bed for 3 1/2 months with it not working correctly. I asked if my trial period starts from when the bed is delivered or when we actually get a bed that works correctly so we actually know if we like it. Read moreI purchased a sleep number bed because in 9 years we had purchased three or four different mattresses all of which within a couple of years caused aches and pains in my neck and shoulder and back. Ultimately, no matter the type of mattress, I was just constantly uncomfortable. So I decided to take the plunge and I spent the money on a sleep number bed.When I first got my bed I was like many and struggle to adjust because I couldn't get past the amount of money that I had dropped on what basically felt like an air mattress. However, after adding a 3-in memory foam topper, My grounding bed sheets and noticing I was getting much better sleep, I began to feel a lot better about my purchase. Now I've had my bed for over 4 years and I am a forever customer!!! Depending on the time of year, weather, my mood, I sleep in different positions and need different types of pressure or firmness. The sleep number bed accommodates every time. I'm very happy with my purchase. And I'll be upgrading to a larger mattress in a year or two. Definitely worth the purchase price for the mattress, but sorry SN I'll never own your base. It's crazy expensive in comparison to some others that offer all the same features. Hands down though. Read moreGreat bed, terrible after sales service. Service call for kinked hose impacting left side of bed. Store unhelpful but national customer service was great and sent a new hose and scheduled a service call. Took 30 days for service call. Classic service call mistakes: technicians did not come with masks, we provided; one technician reeked of cologne, we had to air out the house for 20 minutes (in winter!) after they left; completed the repair but never tested, we did after they left; left a huge coil of hose on the floor on the right side, didn’t attach back to the frame; supervisor complained about having to be on the call on a snowy Friday. Basically other than they replaced the hose the entire experience was very disappointing. If your going to spend a crazy amount on a bed the after sale service should be MUCH more professional.
Update. After talking to a very knowledgeable person at sleepnumber customer service she realized they sent the wrong part which the contract techs installed even though they knew it was not correct. Actual sleep number tech came three weeks later and he and his assistant correctly replaced all the hoses and added clips to keep the hoses correctly attached to the frame. All done in 15 minutes.
