Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Bangor

i have never had such poor service. If there was a -☆ Option i would have marked at least a -5☆'s... I have been coming to this TRH at least monthly since it arrived in Bangor many years ago. Tonight was a special occassion . I called for seating, was told one to 1 and 1/2 hr wait. Not a problem until I checked in at 2hrs because I had not yet received my txt only to have the young lady on the phone tell me "some how" our seating had been cancelled. At this point she told me another 30 to 45 min wait. I recieved a txt at 55 min acknowleging our group being on the wait list. I went personally inside to ask for details at this point only to be told that a they did not see my name anywhere. The two young ladies were quite annoyed with me for asking them to double check. Finally i was told they werewaiting for a large party to leave, they had their checks and it shouldnt be more that 10/15 minutes. FINALLY a half hour later we were invited to be on Deck... then when we were finally seated we were split up into 2 booths. We ordered and made due with the seating arrangements. The 3 kids mac and cheese dinners were cold. There was no Prime rib left, the road kill I ordered as a substitute meal was so Overly salted that I couldnt eat it. The fried pickles and blooming onions were so very over cooked and dried out that we chose not to eat them. On top of all this, the bar tender could not hook up the keg correctly so we were asked to make bottle selections... I Never complain while dining out, i have worked in food service off and on for years myself, things happen but today I cant let my disappointment go without sharing.... We have been frequent customers at TR in Bangor Maine for years …upto 3xs a month. after receiving disappointing cold rolls…we did get some great hot ones. Because I love the sirloin tips, it is always what I order. As usual i did again last night, With server asking me to check so news and taste right away. I wanted to approve but biting into grisly piece of steak not good and was taken away to be redone. My husband had his sirloin perfectly done and was eating his food. 10 minutes later the redone tips come with same result chewy and he was also unable to eat and spit it out. Meanwhile I am having the onions and potato that came with the meal. The manager was doing everything she could to make a bad situation acceptable. Wanted me to order something different but could not advise which steak could be tender. I ordered the roadkill… by the time it was delivered in another 10-12 minutes I was full of potato and rolls and it went to a box To bring home. My husband and I were at the end of a beautiful day together and was looking forward to a meal together. This obviously did not happen. I am currently having chemo therapy and there is a short time that many foods appeal to me. I love the food at TR and am not ready to give up but something definitely happened to the quality of beef used in my usual meal. We had our first negative experience here tonight. We have been here numerous times and I feel comfortable calling this our go to restaurant when we are not sure where we want to go. Very reliable. First I will tell you our expectation. Fill our water. That's it. Super easy to please. Tonight they were busy so they were not very attentive. The food was also very salty tonight. Just a lack lustre experience. Though we have had far more good ones. The part that was negative for us was when the manager asked us how it was going. So we told her everything I have written here and she says they are busy tonight. Never once saying she would fix it for us tonight. She just made excuses. She did ask me if I wanted her to fix the saltiness. Well it was fifteen minutes since we last saw someone so it was pretty much gone I just needed some water to wash it down. We saw our waitress maybe three times in an hour or so. We had to hunt down a leftover box and then I had to ask for my check at the front desk who initially just said have a good night.
