It was the worst Christmas shopping experience!! We were double charged for one of the items. I found out when we got in the car. Went back to the lady who double charged me (whose name tag is Virginia). She immediately gave me a bad attitude and didn't say sorry even once while I was waiting for her to try to figure it out for the next 15 minutes. She told me she could only refund that amount to a gift card, while in fact I paid that amount with my credit card. When I asked her if she could do cash refund, she impatiently said she couldn't. I also suggested we could cancel the previous transaction and redo it, and again she interrupted me and said she couldn't do it either. Through the entire process, she interrupted me multiple times with a defensive, impatient attitude. Eventually she went to ask someone else for help, and that other lady figured out the way to give me a cash refund. This is a very bad experience. Double charging happens, but I've never seen anyone handle it in this rude way, her attitude and tone of voice and rejection of any of my suggestions. It almost felt like she was very very annoyed by the fact that her mistake got caught. We used to love BAM and my kids loved the place. It doesn't take a lot to drive away...
Read moreMy favorite store to buy a shopping spree of manga:) they have a small shelf for the discounted manga for "bargain books" which are brand new, however i wish they had a wider selection and the first manga in their series (usually they just have books 2 and 3 or 2-8) They have a wide selection of manga on 2nd floor for full price and have a variety of manga merchandise and large selection of manga with 12 whole shelves full! If you are looking for manga they likely have what you're looking for. They also have a variety of book sets and more, there is also many other books like novels or comic books for young children I'm sure if you visit theres a book for everyone. They have a big variety of bibles as well for religious readers. They also have a savings card that costs $25 a year and it gives you a $5 gift card to start off i believe and you get a bunch of coupons sent to your email for different discount options depending on how much you're spending (if you spend $100 theres a discount for $25) I couldnt believe the money you can save with it. They also have dvds I believe and they have a lot I havent explored yet. TLDR: Great place with a book or cd for everyone with decent discounts, a must stop while...
Read moreUsually I don't write out a lot of reviews, but this experience that I had today at BAM in Bangor, Maine was not the greatest.
So here is what exactly happened: I was waiting in line for a few minutes to purchase one book and waiting for the customers to get done paying for their books. So I decided to read my book while I was waiting. A couple of minutes later, a back up cashier came to a closed cashier to turn it on/open to get the line moving faster. I didn't realize until a couple of seconds later that it was open because I was not paying attention. So I made a comment saying that I was sorry and didn't realize that you were open. I paid for my book and left. But while I was leaving, I overheard a comment from one of the employees to their friend saying "That guy was weird". That was one of the most unprofessional things that I ever heard and I never had a experience like that before from any store. That particular employee (ID:156172, not saying any names) either needs a attitude check and treat others with respect. I will never buy anything from that...
