To the management/owner of the local Chipotle at 583 Stillwater Ave. Bangor, Maine. I've never written a negative review in my life but you need to address some issues with your establishment. First off, I politely asked one of the 5 people behind the counter last night if they could please wipe off the counter before they drag my burrito through the smeared guacamole, sour cream, and bean juice that I preferred not to have on my burrito. After they did not wipe it down and did just that, the gentleman at the register told me that my burrito is on foil if it's any consolation. Next, it is important to note that the gentleman who made my burrito was scratching his testicles and also picking his ass through his shorts as he laughed with another coworker who was washing her hands. Several customers behind me all watched him fondle himself in plain sight and then slap on a pair of gloves and have the gall to ask what he could get for me. Next, we went up to the condiment area to get our drinks and napkins. Unfortunately for us, there was no ice and also no napkins. There are four napkin dispensers right there, all were empty. Next it was time to have a seat and eat. Every seat was available but we could not find one that was even remotely clean enough to sit at. I'm not talking about some crumbs, there was smeared guacamole and sour cream in the chairs and all over the tables. One seat had a mound of wet beans everywhere underneath it. Out of your fifteen or so seats, we found a booth and cleaned it up ourselves as your staff stood around behind the counter like it was a social club. The service was poor but the old food literally sitting everywhere is an embarrassment and possibly of interest to the health department. Chipotle is great but this specific establishment is seriously disgusting. I'll be sure to snap a couple pictures to share on here next time I go in. It will also probably be the last time. It's 2017, please get this restaurant up to the minimum sanitary standards of the other locations and encourage your evening crew to have some accountability and pride in their work so I can enjoy...
Read moreHonestly why even bother at all? Either step up or shut down, and stop wasting our time and money. I’ve been back in Maine for 4 1/2 years and this Chipotle in Bangor has to be the WORST chipotle I’ve been to across multiple states, and doesn’t seem to get better, ever. I haven’t been in 18+ months, because all 3-4 times I went 2020-2022, it was a JOKE. Food just wouldn’t be with my order, and when I called they were like “oh we were out, did you want us to do something about it or something??”, half the time it’s take out only or something is a problem with staffing, & the quality was always 3-4/10, in the “this makes me question if I’m going to get food poisoning” way. So finally yesterday after errands I thought “gosh I’ve been craving chipotle so long, it’s been a long time… I’ll give them another chance!” (Against my husband’s warning reminder that this location is garbage). I go in, and they had closed down in-person ordering 🙃 the restaurant was FULL of 15-20+ sad saps who were waiting for their food, as I see literally 6-7 people just standing around each other in the kitchen with 0 urgency whatsoever. I immediately got frustrated and went out to my car to order anyway… and the second I saw that I’d be spending $15 for a disappointing burrito 30-45 minutes later… I closed the app, and left. Until this chipotle has new ownership… guess I’ll just have to continue to avoid like the plague it is. I mean cmon, the fact that yall disappoint me (and I’m sure most customers) EVERY SINGLE TIME without fail? Very upsetting for such a universally...
Read moreMy husband and I have never been here and we wanted to try something different, once we got in line the guy put the rice in our bowls and there was a short, brown haired slim girl with glasses, she was barking orders at the guy that filled our bowls with rice. Then as we got down to the toppings she didn’t say anything she’s like “what do you want” then my husband had a question and she interrupted him and said the tops with attitude over and over again and stopped and looked at like he was stupid. He wasn’t going to talk to her till she stopped the attitude. I spoke up and said, “can you stop with the snobby attitude we’ve never been here and you’re being rude.” She’s like “sorry” in a snobby voice then just looked at us. Finally at the end she told the cashier my husband got double. He didn’t he got half and half to try a little bit of a few different things. We told the cashier he didn’t get double his bowl barely is full. She fixed that for us but after we sat down the people before us and after us came over to our table and thanked me for speaking up because her attitude was awful. There was no reason for her to treat her coworkers like that or customers. All the other workers just looked down or at each other when she was barking orders. The customer service was great from the other workers they had genuine manners and respect this other girl though, oh my word. We probably won’t go back there again. Waste of money. And they shouldn’t have an employee that acts like she’s miserable and miserable to other customers...
