I really like Subway and I go there a lot, but I think the employees really need to be taught how to act properly around customers. I went to the one on Stillwater Ave in Bangor. Liz was the name of the girl serving me, tall with dark hair and a boot on her ankle. I ordered a 12” oven roasted chicken sandwich on Italian herb & cheese bread. The bread seemed less cooked then normal and she more ripped it open then cutting it. She assumed I wanted it toasted because the chicken is initially cold. She never asked if I wanted it toasted, so she was prepping the sandwich to be toasted and I told her that I didn’t not want it toasted and just warm up the chicken. She proceeded to say nothing and slapped the chicken on some wax paper, threw it in the oven and then helped my boyfriend. When the chicken was ready she just tossed it onto the counter and proceeded with my order with attitude. I asked for lettuce, tomato, black olives, and cucumber. The tomatoes and cucumbers were freezer burnt like they got too cold in the fridge. She only gave me 4 slices of cucumber and very light olives. When she rolled it together half the stuff fell out and she just scooped it all back up and stuffed it in. I said nothing and just paid for my sandwich. When I went to eat it I noticed the bread was very under seasoned and almost doughy. Definitely not like I’ve had at other surrounding Subways. Read moreI had a terrible experience at this Subway location. I ordered through the app and the sandwiches were all wrong. The app malfunctioned and added things to them that didn't belong. Also the staff did not toast 2 of the sandwiches as requested. I went back to the store to see if they could resolve the issue. I explained the situation politely and asked for new sandwiches to be made, but the staff refused stating that if I wanted new sandwiches I would have to pay for all new ones because she wasn't going to fix the issue the app caused as it was "not her problem". I tried to find a place on the Subway website to contact them about this issue and it states to go back to the store for a resolution. I had done that already so next it said to call an 800 number. I did that and the phone number they have goes nowhere. Next it says to go to the contact us section and report issues there. This was difficult to find and navigate and when I did the amount of characters you can use is extremely limited so I was barely able to summarize my issue. There response was an automated "sorry that you are frustrated" , but at no point has anyone at Subway tried to make it right by offering a refund or offering to replace the sandwiches. Read moreI ordered off of the app for the first time in. I guess I must’ve missed the part. Where asked you if you want your sandwich toasted I didn’t even think anything of it. I don’t know why I thought it was automatic. I thought you had to tell them if you didn’t want it toasted so when I went in and realized my sandwich that I picked up was cold I went to the front and I said I am sorry I apologized and explained that I didn’t realize that I hadn’t marked toasted and was proceeding to ask them if they could toast it and the lady behind the counter was very rude And snapped at me. I know that they get really busy and I also work in a deli making sandwiches and pizza and all that stuff, but it was just rude. You don’t treat people like that especially when they’re coming up with a good attitude and explaining what they did wrong and apologizing for it I was just asking for her to toast my sandwich and she snapped at me. She said well you’re supposed to make sure that you put toasted. We’re not gonna know unless you put it. I tried explaining to her.
