UPDATE: cute shop, loads of potential, but a truly terrible experience. On our 4th attempt we were finally able to try this place out. I can say with 100% certainty I wish we had not. I was not able to use our gift card (even though it was purchased and available through their website) I showed it to the girl at the counter and she just shook her head no as though I tried to hand her monopoly money. Then she argued with me saying she had only been hired two days prior and didn't know what to do and she couldn't call the owner. So we paid full price $26 for 2 coffees and a breakfast burrito; Ridiculous. They handed us a pager and we waited outside for our order. Our pager went off and we returned it only to be told our order was not ready and we would have to wait??? After receiving our order my wife had assumed her cup had chocolate shavings in it, but on our way home ended up with a mouth full of coffee grounds. The cup was literally full of partially ground coffee. We returned to the shop (5th trip now) and showed the girl who made the $6.50 beverage and her response was "that's what you get with decaf". You get the pleasure of chewing on partially ground coffee appatently. We poured the coffee through a strainer and found very poorly ground beans and even a whole bean in the cup. We asked for a refund and were met with arguments. Her customer service skills are sorely lacking. So now we still have an unused gift card, but there is no likelihood that we will ever come back to, or recommend Caff to anyone. My advice is to go to Texas Coffee Works... it's a way better coffee, price, and experience. Original review: They do not keep to their posted or online business hours. I have come here 3 times now during their posted business hours to find them closed. I have a gift card to use, but I'm debating on if it's worth a 4th trip. This is very poor business practice and customer service. Hopefully they can figure everything out and not close permanently like all the previous proprietors of this space.

Cute concept. I had come here before a while back and got their avocado toast, which I remember being good, but it seemed expensive for what you get (just 1 piece of toast). My main thing is the latte. I always get a vanilla oatmilk latte anywhere I go, and I have tried so many places here in Bastrop and around Austin. I think the main thing is having good espresso and a good brand oatmilk. To see her pour Kirkland brand oatmilk in my latte I just paid over $8 for mad me a little sad. Nothing against Kirkland, it is just more of a watered-down oatmilk. The espresso was a little burnt this time, and for anyone who knows the taste of burnt espresso knows it has a sour flavor. I'm not impressed with this visit. If you are looking for a good coffee shop, I recommend Texas Coffee Works a few miles east on 70. Or Teucan near tj max and homegoods. It's a crepe place, but the coffee is AMAZING. P.s. I don't know if their A/C went out, but it was hot in there, and you could kind of see the employees were sweating a little. I felt bad, but they did have a portable a/c unit next to the fridges. But it didn't not cool the whole place.

I love this place! My mom and I first went and have gone back for the carne asada fries & burrito! I love their coffee options & the fact that it’s owned by a woman who represents her culture throughout the menu is inspiring to see/experience! The only thing I will say is that the spiciest salsa they have had a lot of oregano & their strawberry guava agua fresca is too sweet. I brought it home & watered it down, but it was still sweet. Despite that I will go back :) I will say the last I went the cheese used for my asada fries was goat cheese. I personally like it, but I know it does have a distinct flavor that a lot of people may not like. The first time I had the fries the cheese used was queso fresco, which I think is a better option that more people may like! I really hope for the best for this place, & hope the owner takes into consideration these thing’s. Here I ordered a matcha horchata, which is a must try for those who like matcha!

This place is the epitome of inefficiency. Fortunately for them, my wife really likes a few things on their menu so she forces me to continue to give them chances in spite of having an issue ~8/10 times we've patronized their establishment. The most recent issue was: we ordered online for two breakfast burritos (which are quite good when they actually get your order right) and a cold brew. So, after our family walk with 10 min to get back to our business before our next clients, I walk in to retrieve our order. I let her know I'm there to pick up an order and immediately it is clear she speaks ZERO English. To be clear, it is not unreasonable to expect at least conversational English from someone working at a service restaurant in an English speaking country. Anyhow, she grabbed the burritos and waved goodbye. I remind her of the cold brew that she did not give me and she starts shaking her head and pointing to a sign reading "online orders only" indicating she had no idea what I was saying, therefore could not make it or at least give a refund. So, I now have to waste time reaching out to them (again) for ANOTHER order they messed up and wait over a week for it to be processed. By having a completely non English speaker run the store by herself they are proving that A.) they are likely too cheap or lazy to hire enough staff so clearly don't care about their customers and a positive experience. And more importantly B.) they are likely taking advantage of this lady and putting her in a no win situation probably to save them money and not hire more employees. With the limited high quality food options in Bastrop, for the love of God,...

It's very hit or miss with this place. I've tried several times. Prices are mid to high. This morning they had a note on the door saying only accepting online orders so I order online. Card gets charged instantly and I get an email receipt then when I go in for my order there is two people working, neither speak any English whatsoever and all she can do is shake her head at me and say no. No what?! I have my online receipt and you have charged my bank account. My order by the way was for a muffin and a "Holy Cow" drink which is supposed to be cold brew, a shot of espresso and sweet cream. She hands me cold brew with cream and I try to tell her it needs espresso and she just shakes her head and says no repeatedly. I show her the menu board, which clearly shows espresso and she goes behind the counter and hands me what she has made. I ask when the owner or manager will be there but she doesn't understand a word I am saying. I ask the man behind me if he by chance speaks any Spanish and he asks her when the owner/manager will be there. Again, she has no idea. I paid for a particular item and it's not unreasonable to want that item. Since there was no way to communicate, why bother asking for a refund because she won't know how to do it either. Ridiculous way to run a business. Train your employees and make sure they can at the very least communicate with...
