Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Battle Ground

Went in with my sister to try the cherry dipped cone for the first time. There was no line. A member of management , a shorter, full figured girl, and another co worker, were standing at the register doing something with a till and change. They didn't look up or acknowledge us once. No "we'll be with you in a moment", nothing. We waited for about 3 minutes. Then they just walked off. My sister and I were taken aback. We decided to wait a minute longer to see if someone would help us. Finally another employee came up to the register and we thought "ok, he's going to take our order for sure". Well we were mistaken. He started talking to the person behind us. I'm assuming another employee from a different store as they were taking about picking up trash bags. This employee didn't acknowledge us either. I'm really disappointed in this location that seems to be run by careless teenagers that have no concern with providing appropriate customer service. We will never return to this location, as this isn't the first time we've had issues with poor customer service. I highly recommend that the franchise owner and upper management take my advice (someone whose been in customer service for almost 30 years) and retrain the current staff or hire new employees. Date of visit 8/23/2024 It wasn't very busy. There were several other tables occupied. There was a person behind the counter that took my order right away. It was around 1 pm just after lunch hour. I ordered the number one from the stackburger menu. Which is two patties, bacon, two kinds of cheese lettuce tomatoes pickles ketchup Mayo. No onions. I also ordered a large fry and a medium drink. After ordering I did not have to wait long before my food came out to my table. The guy who brought my food out was very professional and nice. The burger came out hot and quality tasting. I was happy with the amount of lettuce and tomatoes. However the bacon was chewy and I found it annoying to try and bite through the burger. The bacon should have been cooked till it's a little more crispy. The flavor of crispy bacon comes through better than when it's chewy. Plus it's easier to bite through. The fries were fresh and hot. And I got a lemonade from the fountain drinks. It tasted fine there were no issues with the syrup mix like I've had at other burger royalty restaurants. I'm writing this review as an Uber Eats driver, and it needs to be said that this restaurant is the absolute worst place to pick up food for both drivers and Uber Eats customers. The staff is completely unprofessional and rude, and has absolutely zero interest in providing courteous and expedient service. I straight up avoid accepting offers at this location, irregardless of what the pay is. There are a few restaurants in the Battle Ground area that are a real pain to pick up food from for the same reasons, but the BG Dairy Queen has the WORST staff I've ever seen after picking up from hundreds of restaurants in the Vancouver area. The lobby is always full of people standing around waiting for the staff to be done goofing off and ignoring their job duties. I've gone into this location more than once and witnessed staff using profanity and racial epithets in front of customers. I mean, really? Seriously? When they finally get done making the food, they routinely forget things -- I'll need to stand there and point out that they're forgetting each item that is included in the customer's order.
