Unfortunately doesn't truly honor return policy fine print. Wouldn't let me do a partial return on an offer for a bundle deal despite both price valuations being tallied on order/receipt--return policy states this is valid and clearly defines precedence.
Surely a rare occurrence for the average consumer, but speaks to the company stance as a whole.
Called store and cs corp to verify. Shipped one of the items back to return as store is 100 miles from me. Opened second item to use. Store received item then denied return and stated both items needed to be returned. Would be np but already used the second item, can't return now.
Opened a cs ticket through ace corp and received zero help after 2 weeks and zero return calls from 'supervisors'. Ate shipping cost to send item out for no reason. Ace did nothing to make things right.
Returning in general is a hassle b/c each ace store is 'independently owned and operated'. Clearly no benefits to doing business this way when big box stores offer better pricing and flexibility.
If this ordeal was an issue of pricing, take that up with your Milwaukee reps, not your customers....Home Depot honors partial returns just like this everyday. No problem if ace doesn't want to, just don't falsely advertise and...
Read moreI was told to leave this store for not wearing a mask in a very aggressive and condescending manner while I was minding my own business in an aisle by myself. The store was about to close in 10 minutes and I was the only one in there. I told the guy working there that I have a medical condition and am unable to wear one. He said this is Ace, that doesn't work here. He said Call governor Inslee. I guess Ace doesn't follow the law. They are suppose to make accommodations for handicap people not throw them out of their store. This is completely against the law. There is a mask exemption for children under 5 and people that have medical conditions. This is straight from the governors rule. Ace's store policy doesn't supersede state law. They can't continue to treat people like this. What I should do is call the ADA and a lawyer and sue this place out of business for discrimination. If they don't what my money that's fine I'll take it somewhere else but the arrogance and rudeness of the people that work here is over the top. I'll never step foot in this store or another Ace hardware again and will advise everyone I know to do the same. Wilco just down the street has a much better mask policy and doesn't harass...
Read moreThis review is for Wendy and Jacob only. I drove 15 minutes to pick up some plumbing materials. I got home and my 1 1/2" pipe was actually 1 1/4". Jacob pulled it out of the bin, but didn't check the size. Luckily we had a 1' section at home to get the repair done. I went in today to get some gas fittings. I asked for a manager and got Wendy the assistant. Asked her if I could get a credit for the pipe, it was a whopping $3.49, and she said "ABSOLUTELY NOT, not without the pipe, you will need to bring it back in". I stated that I live 15 min from the store and it was not worth the time and gas for $3.49! She didn't care and said that she could not fault Jacob entirely because he grabbed a pipe from the correct bin and someone else had to have put it there. Excuse me, but it was not my fault he didn't verify the size BEFORE he cut a foot off and gave it to me! He had the elbow and other pipe that he was fitting it to so he should have noticed the difference. I didn't check it as I assumed he knew what he was doing. So much for customer service on Wendy's part. I will go to Amboy in the future. Do it Best is much more friendly and customer...
