BG Phở — Restaurant in Battle Ground

This place is great! It's not the best pho I've ever had but it's close to the house, real good, and the people couldn't be nicer. I'd say prices are exactly fair. Not good or bad. Food this good takes skill, proper ingredients, and lots of time. I liked the pho, ban mis, and vermicelli bowls. I don't like their rendition of the meat balls in the pho or the appetizer wontons. I loved the beef stew. It's a unique take and I've never had it from any other Vietnamese restaurant. It's just incredible and a must order.....

Aaaand they stopped selling it. What the heck you guys? That was MAGICAL stew. The best thing on the menu by a mile and you ditched it.

Also they have jacked their prices up a little bit lately as others have said. I hate to be this guy but they are going to have to improve somewhere to justify this. If anything their food has gotten worse since the increases. Their service is certainly worse. The food is fast, but I have had counter service the last 3 visits. Had to get my own water, napkins, condiments, etc. Consistency just isn't there anymore either. Two of the last three visits have been ok but the last time, the service and food was awful. I buy the same thing every time!

It just plain isn't good as often as it used to be. I am all for small business but I'm sorry to say unless they put in some work to be as good as they used to be and remotely as valuable, I'll probably have to find somewhere else to eat. Maybe I'll be back but not until reviews of this...

Three of us visited this place. We've been there many times but have never experienced such terrible service. I will never be there again. Firstly, the service was very, very long, and secondly, the waiter forgot what we ordered and we periodically had to remind him. For example, he brought lemonade almost at the very end of our dinner. They forgot to add pepper to one of the salads. They didn't bring chopsticks. Glasses have been there since the creation of this restaurant, plastic muddy scratched and seemingly dirty, you don’t even want to touch. Of course, there were no drinking tubes either. The waiter brought bowls of soup with his fingers inside the bowl. Thank you for not washing your fingers in the soup itself. The dish was served as if passing by roughly placing a plate. the soup comes with a salad, but first they brought the soup to each with a difference of 10-15 minutes, and when we actually ate it, they brought a salad that is added to the soup. Well, the appetizer was also brought at the wrong time, only one, the other two we waited a long time, even asked what happened. We came for lunch from work and the time was limited. that's another reason not to go there. Why there was such a long service is not clear, because there were few people. By the way, the waiter's fingers were in all the plates that he brought to customers, in salad ones too. It didn't add to the appetite. This place is a place that is just pitiful and I don’t understand how they are in business. Worst experience in a pho restaurant. I got there and they welcomed me. Said I could sit wherever. As I looked around tables were not cleaned still had tables with food on it and dirty dishes and they were still there when I left. The first booth I sat in the table was so wobbly that if they set the food down it would fall right in my lap. So I moved tables and sat down on one side of the booth and fell down cause it was broken and so I switched sides. They brought me warm water tasted like it was from a hose. I ordered the brisket, flank and round eye and I’m pretty sure that’s not what they brought me. It tasted gross. The two employees were just on their phones the whole time. It was not busy just me and one other customer so they should’ve cleaned off the tables. They never came over to ask how the food was, they never refilled my water or if I needed anything else. It’s not like they were busy so they should’ve check on me or the other customer. The food definitely tasted weird and the tables were dirty with dirty plates and bowls. Once the other customer left they still didn’t clean the tables. It wasn’t till I left that they cleaned the tables. Never again will I eat here.
