We went here for a notary service. Which was the worst decision we ever made for the following reasons: I called in advance to check if the notary was available today and they said it was from 11:30--5pm. But when we got there the notary was on break. Luckily we didn't have to wait that long but this notary was incredibly abrasive and condescending. From the jump, he took the documents, read the entire personal information before telling us how much it would cost. You would think that you would tell someone how much your services cost to see if they can pay it before reading their personal information. Then he explained the document needs two witnesses, to which we said our international document just needs one. Then he wanted to clarify that he, as the notary, was being considered the second witness and if he needs to sign as a witness. We called the international establishment to confirm in front of him and were told we only need one witness since the notary is considered the second witness. Then he said he couldn't sign the document. Once again he fails to provide us that information before making us call the international establishment so we could have asked them directly if two witnesses was ok. After saying he can't sign our document and adamantly repeating it, we keep asking him questions about a second witness. He had offered earlier that we could pay a witness fee and one of the other associates would be a witness so we asked if we could do that but now he keeps repeatedly saying he can't sign it because we don't have a second witness. He isn't willing to listen any words that aren't coming from his own mouth. Finally we get through to him and he agrees to sign with the paid witness. Then we ask his for confirmation on the order of where we need to sign and where he needs to sign so we don't accidentally put it in the wrong spot. He responds "you don't need to worry about me, I've been doing this for 5 years, I know what I'm doing." Ok sir, we aren't questioning your expertise, we're asking literal advice. He was defensive for no reason whatsoever. Then we ask to sign the entire document with a blue pen. We sign it in blue, and then he stamps it and proceeds to use a BLACK PEN to sign the notary section. At this point even his own coworker who is signing as the witness says we should use a blue pen to keep the document consistent and he ignores them. Mind you by this point we've signed a UPS document and our own document so there's been a lot of signatures and writing going around. And this notary has the most illegible handwriting on all of them. His handwriting for his own UPS records were unreadable. And he continues to write in scribbled lowercase on all the notary section in his black ink. I asked him if he's found that lowercase vs uppercase (I used the word print) has ever had any issues. To which he condescends the difference between all caps and print for two minutes before offering up the answer to my question, which luckily was no.
All in all, this notary was terribly rude, condescending, stubborn, unwilling to understand the difference between a question and a request, and generally a terrible service provider. 5 years of experience does not mean you need to be disrespectful. If you yourself claim you don't know the international establishments requirements and we aren't asking you do anything outside of our state's legal requirements either, I don't know why- as a notary that understands the importance of signing legal documents correctly, this particular notary was so willing to jeopardize our document for his ego.
I don't know what he was trying to prove, but we will definitely never be using UPS for notary...
Read moreI had the pleasure of watching the UPS Staff Member, James, in action this afternoon as he juggled the needs of multiple customers at once. James is a model of professionalism, demonstrates impeccable customer service, is extremely efficient and beyond courteous. He was able to attend to three or four customers at the same time with ease. For my own package drop off, he explained that with my return I could only use one label although the company sent me two bags to use. James quickly solved my issue my reusing a box that another customer did not use and had left behind. He came up with this solution in an instant! It was a delight to watch James in action and a number of customers were commenting on their pleasant interactions with James. Thanks...
Read moreEvery time I visit this UPS Store, I am always so impressed with the customer service that I receive. Many times I’ve got a complicated order to make or package to ship and the staff make it all feel easy, and they are so pleasant to work with. The store is a busy one but despite all of the things going on (and other customers that can be rude from what I’ve witnessed) the staff are calm and work well as a team to quickly and politely address each customer. This location (and other UPS locations that I’ve visited) have hired a great set of staff. Thanks for being such a reliable and pleasant presence in the...
