We stayed in room 126. It was 1st floor and close to the pool, breakfast and it was lovely. We only stayed two nights so we didn’t have room service for cleaning unless we asked for it directly. I love that if you place your used towels outside the towel fairy will visit you with new towels. Being on the bottom floor, we had no noise issues. Only thing is you can hear your neighbors in the bathroom. Mostly talking. So don’t have phone calls in the bathroom you don’t want people to hear haha. I did not hear any other noises so I think it’s just because the vents are near the ceiling and I’m sure that is the source of the shared voices. If you have claw hair clips….bring some fore the curtains. The air is very powerful and it will blow the curtains apart and Branson is bright at night. So clipping the curtains close helps a lot with that. This hotel has a really nice pool. It is heated but not warm, just not cold. So feels good in the summer. We went in july. Don’t walk outside as you can’t get back in without walking around to the lobby without your room key. Their TVs are huge. Everything was so clean. Beds were between firm and soft. Super bouncy. Didn’t like the headboard. It will pull your hair so make sure there is a pillow behind your head when sitting on the bed. It’s pretty to look at and gives you that cabin vibe but hurts. Lots of pillows. Bring a blanket if you get cold or ask for more blankets at the front. You do have controls on the ac and on the wall which is cool. This was a 5 star review with one tiny issue and it is location. It’s great during the day but at night, the traffic is terrible. So if you don’t want to have to drive through parking lots just to get around the crazy traffic and people, you might want to stay off the strip. It is convenient for walking to some attractions but let’s be real….people are going to drive as those hills are unforgiving. 100 degrees 90% humidity and no clouds….you aren’t walking to the attractions. So be ready to get adventurous in driving as there is a ton of nighttime traffic. Breakfast is the best I have ever had for a hotel breakfast. They open at 7 and we always got there when they opened so I can speak to the 7-8am crowds during Friday and Saturday morning in July. Maybe 3-4 families in line when we arrived. Full menu on the breakfast bar. The staff was on it!!! Cleaning, educating guests where to discard the dirty items politely. Tables were clean not sticky. Floors clean not sticky. The buffet was clean and food was where it belong. Cereal was not stale in the dispensers. Milk was not water down. Apple juice was pulp free but watered down a bit. So more like an orange drink than orange juice. Didn’t try the coffee but it seemed popular. Lots of cream/sugar and I think a latte machine. I had scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy and a piece of ham. All delicious. The fruit was fresh and a ton of options. We didn’t do the waffle machine but we saw others and they looked yummy. Just very impressed with this hotel over all and for the price…holy moly. Worth every penny and felt like we owned them more. Front staff also super nice and helpful. Guests seemed to be mostly families or church trip/resort goers. So it’s not a loud or rowdy atmosphere. Highly...
Read moreI booked a stay at the Lodge of the Ozarks after seeking out recommendations for lodging and Lodge of the Ozarks came highly recommended. I was visiting for a conference at the Branson Convention Center so while the location of the Lodge of the Ozarks was in the opposite direction of where I needed to be- I found that by driving the Blue Route to downtown Branson was just fine and I was able to make it to the Convention Center in about 12 minutes versus had I driven down the Strip to get there. I attempted to check in around 3:15 but my room was not ready at that time. I was told they were running a bit behind and it would be about 30-40 minutes until my room was ready. I was able to wait in a comfortable lobby/waiting area until my room became available- and it was right around 4:00 that I checked back and my room was ready. I appreciated the amount of parking spaces available and found locating the Lodge of the Ozarks very easy. Being that I was traveling by myself security was important to me and I felt very safe at this place as they had cameras in the hallways and I believe even in the elevators but I may be wrong on the elevator part. I cannot eat gluten so I asked the front desk staff if the continental breakfast offered anything gluten-free and they did not know the answer to that. The room came with a mini fridge and I requested a microwave so I was able to figure out my own breakfast. I viewed the continental breakfast and if I didn't have food allergies I would have loved to have been able to eat it as it looked clean and fresh. Staff were constantly wiping down the serving area and bringing out fresh food. There were multiple hot food items (ham, sausage, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, potatoes, monkey bread, etc.), yogurt and toppings, a waffle making area, cereal, muffins/bread and then a lovely coffee area. I will say that the hotel was humid in nature- I'm a cold natured person but it was stuffy walking the halls. Overall the hotel was very clean and I really appreciated that!! One small hiccup was that one of the elevators was out of order for a short time and being on the 4th/top floor, their stair system was very confusing to navigate. I will also note that my room faced the Branson Wheel and Go-Kart track so I could hear noise from that but that didn't last until the wee hours of the night and overall the hotel was quiet and peaceful compared to other places I've stayed. I found that hotel staff and guests were more pleasant and friendly at this place compared to others. I was always greeted by cleaning staff when walking through the halls. The front desk staff were professional yet friendly. I'm glad this lodging came recommended and I will absolutely stay here again on my next trip!! Lodge of the Ozarks was clean and safe which were the two most important factors for me when...
Read moreThis is a pretty hotel, though slightly older. It's well located, with easy access to a road behind the strip when the traffic is bad.
The breakfast is good, but I'm not sure I'd rave about it like other reviews. We normally stay at hotels with good breakfast (Drury, Hampton, etc). This offers similar stuff. Maybe a bit more daily selection, but the quality is not any better. Also it didn't open until 7 and that was pretty late for us. There was always a line waiting for it to open. I wish it opened earlier.
The room was very spacious. That was the best part. Unfortunately it seems like the AC just wasn't cold enough. We kept it on 60 overnight. Normally my husband would be wearing socks and complaining if it was really that cold. It was not. The AC is a make it/break it thing for me at hotels. I have to be cold to sleep. This somehow allowed me to sleep, but I was surprised. I did have my own fan. I just didn't think this AC worked per the setting on the thermostat. It would make me hesitate to stay there again. That would be my biggest concern.
AC and fridge were great. Bathroom was nice. Water was hot and had enough pressure. Toilet was a bit worrisome as it didn't seem to have strong flushing pressure, but we never had issues.
For the prices paid for hotels these days I'm a bit annoyed that housekeeping is not routine. We were informed we had to request it or leave towels/trash outside our door and we'd get fresh towels. We did not request housekeeping unfortunately. I always feel odd doing that when it's not standard. The first morning we left towels outside the door and we did not receive fresh towels. We tracked down housekeeping and got some. The next morning we did receive towels. I don't know. . . hotels should simply include housekeeping. The prices are insane and we are provided less service.
Ample parking. Not enough luggage carts. Elevators were fast. Ultimately we would probably stay here again, though I'd be likely to choose a chain where I'm already accumulating points. We booked too late for that this time. But I'd probably hesitate due to the...
