THIS PLACE SUCKS. If I could I would give it ZERO stars staff was unbelievable rude from the moment I got my tickets for my wife and kids. We felt like we were an inconvenience for even showing up and never should have after what we had to endure. Waited 30 minutes in line while workers are getting onto people for playing bumper cars and trying to wreck people off the track. It changed when my family and I finally get on our carts and we have to wait another 5 minutes which was understandable to get everyone buckled in but what’s not understanding is over 25 people on a small track at once. It’s like they were trying to rush the line and overcrowd the track. When we started racing my whole family is getting slammed into the wall and my kid got ran into by a full grown adult after that I’m getting bull rushed by kids who are playing bumper cars when IT BLATANTLY SAYS NOT TO RUN INTO OTHER PEOPLES CARTS. They were doing it on purpose trying to be funny and not one worker did a thing while they were having a fit about the kids who were bumping into others before we got on. If you think your coming here as a family to have fun news flash your not you’re coming to get slammed into by MANY people treating it like bumper cars at an arcade. Zero control, zero customer service just plain chaos. I’m trying to warn others to save your money cause this place is a RIP OFF. Might aswell go to steal your dollar city while your in Branson and AVOID this place at all cost. I don’t want any pity from the management I want to warn others to not waste your time at this “ Wild Waste of Time” joke that they call a go karting venue. Please don’t give this place your money especially if you’re gonna get treated like they don’t even want you there and your a waste of there time. Heavy Metal Hell Ride is the kind of place that makes you wish you stayed home. Save yourself the disappointment, the rudeness, and most importantly your money and take it some place that won’t treat you like trash, unless your idea of fun is getting overcharged to be treated poorly and not even have fun. Zero stars if I could this place shouldn’t...
Read moreGreat place to bring kids, kids will love it. Adults who love go kart racing and real competition, this place is awful. The karts are slow, reaching around 20mph at the pinnacle of their speed at the very bottom of the steep hill you're basically dropped down. There is no hope for you if you're in a tandem with a kid cause you have the same engine and governor as the singles, and more weight. Right after you get down the hill, unless your line is perfect and everyone else's is sloppy, you begin your ascent up the spiral. The singles can pass you on the outside with ease. The rest of the park is fine, a Ferris wheel and a giant swing are fun enough, good family friendly fun. I'd say if you have a kid and you want to get them into kart racing, this place isn't terrible except that you will never win in tandem. So use this as a stepping stone to somewhere better or go straight to building them their own. But if you, an adult, want a fun trip with your kid to the go kart track with a good chance to win, this place isn't...
Read moreSo much fun! The go kart track was a lot of fun, would definitely go again and again!
My only gripe is that there was ZERO introductory explanation of how the things worked — even just a “Gas on the right, brake on the left, Go!” would have been helpful for someone who’s never driven a GoKart before (like me). It never even occurred to me there would be a brake, lol. Everyone else in my group had one green and one red pedal, which makes sense. Both my pedals were red, so I assumed you just pushed them both down to go, release to slow. I wasn’t aware I was riding the brake the whole time, and couldn’t figure out why everyone was going faster than me.
Obviously, that’s entirely user error, and not on the establishment at all, but it would have been nice to have a super brief instruction before we headed out. Yes, there’s a sign overhead, but not in eyeline of anyone climbing into a kart.
Anyway, my own idiocy aside, we had a great time and would love to...
