DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE NO OTHER OPTION! I stayed here while I was on a job across the river in Carson. My company booked and paid for the rooms we were in. The front desk person was friendly and helpful. The room seemed clean if somewhat musty and dated. My biggest issue came our last day there- I woke up with a bite or sting on my right hand on a finger, 3 more on the backs of my legs. Took some Benadryl and went to work, from there went straight home. By the time I had made the drive home the finger that had been bitten/stung was so swollen I couldn't make a fist and the itching was not relieved by ointment or antihistamine. Went to urgent care this morning as it was much worse and was informed that the likeliest culprits were bedbugs or spiders. Called the motel and they didn't seem particularly concerned, the lady who answered said she'd tell the owner. So here I am an hour after seeing the doctor and being prescribed Prednisone and an antibiotic waiting for the medications to be ready writing this review-Caveat emptor if you stay at this motel. Update 6/13/19- I spoke with the owner today and she has assured me that the problem has been taken care of. She has documentation that she is emailing me which I will post as pictures as soon as I get them. Thanh seems very sincere in her desire to give guests a great experience so I'm hopeful that she will actually get the documents to me so I can share them with all of you who read my reviews (9k and counting! Ty!) If she is unable to provide them I'll be once again editing this review to reflect that. Update 7/15/19 After a MONTH of waiting for said documents and 2 calls and 2 emails I haven't gotten anything from Thanh. She called my boss to try and get me to remove this review and I compromised by agreeing to edit it IF the owner could prove she had corrected the problem. Since she cannot or will not my original review stands.

Yes this motel is a little dated and yes you can shower while sitting on the toilet…which can be a time saver. Read on for Pros But here are the Pros: 1. The room was clean and housekeeping did exactly what I wanted. I don’t need a full room cleaning everyday. 2. It’s nice having the mirror and sink separate from the toilet and shower. Then your wife can do her makeup while you shower. 3. The shower has great pressure and hot water. The vent works good. 4. The room heater worked great and kept the room toasty when it was 20 degrees outside. 5. You have a fridge and microwave next to the desk. 6. The TV had a lot of channels, local and National. 7. The bed was comfortable and good pillows. I spent 17 nights there and I could have moved if I wanted. 8. YOU DONT HEAR THE TRAINS. My buddy stayed at the best western and the trains kept waking him up. 9. You can easily walk to the market and a brewery nextdoor. 10. Everyone I met there was very nice. I will stay here again if I go back.

This place is adequate. The rooms are above average in size, and typical of two-star quality. Everything was very clean. Mimi fridge and microwave in the room. WiFi, which was quite good. Staff I met was very friendly and we had a chance to converse, which is always a primary consideration in my reviews. I was able to get the room as a last minute consideration through their website with absolutely no trouble, which is a major plus. Beautiful location by the Bridge of the Gods. Bed was adequate. Bathroom consists of a toilet and shower head with only a plastic sheet, but that was okay by me. In fact, I thought it's cleanliness compared to other motel bathrooms to be above average. It's not fancy, but I have no complaints.

I recently stayed at this older hotel while in town for a few days, and I have to say—it was a truly pleasant experience. While the property does show its age in certain areas (some of the furnishings and decor could definitely use a refresh), what it might lack in modern updates, it more than makes up for in warmth, cleanliness, and outstanding customer service.

From the moment I checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Every interaction—with who I believe to be the owner—was friendly, helpful, and genuine. It’s clear that they truly care about their guests and take pride in creating a comfortable atmosphere.

My room was clean, quiet, and had everything I needed for a restful stay. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was great, and I appreciated the little touches like extra towels and a quick response to a late-last minute need to find a place to stay in the area.

The location is also a big plus—convenient to local restaurants, shops, and nearby attractions. It’s a great home base for anyone visiting the area who values service and hospitality over flashy amenities.

If you’re looking for a luxurious, ultra-modern hotel, this might not be the place. But if you value a welcoming environment, top-notch service, and a solid, dependable stay, I highly recommend it. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time...

THE GOOD:The bed was comfortable and clean, as were the towels. The furniture was OK and usable. It is central in the small town and easy to walk to almost everything in the town. The owner and front counter people attempted there very best to be nice, but there was a huge language barrier. They upgraded us to a 2 bed room for no additional charge. There was Wifi.

THE BAD:The check in/out process was hard. The lady that was at the counter couldn't understand anything I was saying, even when I wrote it down. The owner came back after almost 20 mins and more or less rushed through the check in process because she was busy with who I can only think are new buyers. The Microwave didn't work, the freezer in fridge didn't work, we lost about 20 worth of food we bought at the store because of this. We tried to tell the lady at the desk but again she didn't understand me. The toilet paper roll holder was broken, there was not a light of light in the room, and the TV was very staticy. The Wifi keep shutting off in the middle of my classwork which became more annoying then anything. The shower didn't have a barrier from the toilet so our feet were wet coming out of the bathroom.

BOTTOM LINE: They tried and made a valid effort. It was an OK stay and we slept good, but might behoove one to spend the extra $15 a night and stay...
