Don’t EVER book a wedding here-ESPECIALLY IF YOURE GAY.

A little back story my partner and I booked our wedding there back in March, we were so excited as this is where we had our first date about two years ago. We had stars in our eyes and were BEEMING with excitement especially since this venue had made a comment on how they had never done a “homosexual” wedding before. The amount of money that her father had spent on securing our spot and all of the amenities that we perchased seemed so worth it.

Two days ago, we were informed that another wedding that was booked in July would be taking place at the the spot that we had already booked and paid in full for, we were told that we were going to have to move. When explained that we had already booked in March they did not care, they said they have the right to reschedule anyone that they want.

My father in law fought tooth and nail and ended up having to cancel our event today- one week before our 100 person wedding. We had a DJ, live music and caterers that we also had to inform a week before our wedding.

This is a government run community- let that sink in for a bit.

Now my soon to be wife and I are out of a venue a week before our wedding and we will be eating ice cream and crying thinking of what should have been our special day.

Discrimination...

I'm a local in this town and we had family in town we hadn't seen in years. A camp host (who's known to be rude) came up yelling at us "you can't park here!!" Didn't ask us to move just started yelling. We tried to explain we literally had just pulled up to say hi and leave.. she continued to write our license plate down and threatened a fine. We weren't even there more than 2 minutes before she yelled at us. We then parked in front of the port building and she walked over and continued writing our information down. I'd NEVER recommend this...
