Columbia Market — Local services in Cascade Locks

VERY slow moving lines. They only have one person at the front trying to cashier and a line of customers that you can't even see the end cuz it goes around the corner and as I grab my stuff and head back to the front I realize that the stuff I grabbed will either be completely melted by the time I get to purchase it and will be spoiled so I just put it back and left. It's pretty sad when you got a 20-minute wait just to buy one item and another register that's not even being used and you have the cashier jaw jacking with another employee instead of working. I've been seeing this for the past several months and it has not gotten any better if any it's gotten worse I do not see any reason why I need to go into this store. In the outside of the building looks trashed with bird s* all over the sidewalk bird nest over the front door. It's an eyesore in downtown Cascade locks. I'd rather drive to Hood River to...

Store clerks are always friendly and polite: 5 stars for the staff! But that's where it ends. The general manager is rude, and as many times as my service animal and I are there to shop, Judah, the General manager, asks me, "Is that a service animal?" After the 4th time, I stated that I am here often. Do you not bother to remember your customers? This is harassment and intentional. Owner Shasheem (phonetically spelled) was very rude to me when he asked about my SERVICE ANIMAL. Management and ownership are rude and disrespectful! Food is out of date, and the whole store needs an audit by the Oregon health department. Not to mention the obvious price gouging! So 5 stars for the clerks!...

The staff deserve 5 stars, everyone is always friendly, helpful, and courteous. I always walk out the door smiling because of the employees (no, none of them are my friends or relatives! Lol) There's almost always a great deal to be found on alcohol and cigarettes.

That being said, everything else is incredibly overpriced, the fresh produce and meat always look old, the lighting in the store is weird and hurts my eyes, the entire feel of the store is offputting, and there's consistently issues with the can recycling machine.

If the staff wasn't so awesome I would give the store 2 stars, but seriously, they all have excellent customer...
