We normally love this place, the service and esp. the Chinook, when in season, is Fabulous but we had quite a memorable negative experience recently. If it had been our first time there, we wouldn't return. Do not order the Smoked Salmon Nachos which includes Tortilla Chips, Unmelted Shredded Cheese, Shredded Smoked Salmon, Salsa, Pico & Sour Cream and Coleslaw. We requested to have all the extra items on the side so we could add what we wanted. Even though onions and jalapenos were not listed as items, we were asked multiple times if we wanted them. We declined. Placing our order became more of an ordeal than it should have.

Do not ask for the cheese to be melted on the tortilla chips (b/c they don't have a way to melt the cheese, unless they heat up the smoker which can take up to 30 min.) that only brings out a confrontational staff member who will state, "I heard there's a problem" which there wasn't until she came to our table explaining how they serve FRESH cheese and the Smoked Salmon Nachos was intended to be more like a dip.

After unsuccessfully attempting to have the cheese melted, a very kind employee (wearing a ball cap) who we've encountered before, offered to give us a complimentary quesadilla even after we stated that wasn't necessary. Kudos to that employee. Great way to take care of a customer. But instead, we received intervention from "The Other Employee" - the one who took our order (No ball cap) and...

Throughout our trip across Washington and Oregon, Brigham Fish Market was genuinely the best restaurant we stopped at. After ordering the food at the counter, you can choose to buy any of the various fish displayed at the front, so my family chose the smoked salmon, smelt, and collar (two of which were given to us to try for free by the sweet lady at the counter!) This restaurant has several seating areas, so we chose to sit outside with the picturesque view and gorgeous ambience—and a short 5-10 minutes later, our food came out.

I ordered the grilled halibut, which was so beautifully seasoned and came with the freshest ceviche and crunchy tortilla chips. Other orders were the salmon burger (which was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and came with a side of warm fries), the fried calamari (crispy and delicious with the tartar sauce), and the huckleberry lemonade (SO refreshing and had just the right ratio of sweet to sour—and a nice hint of berry!)

Service was amazing. The waitresses were so sweet and attentive.

Overall, if you’re considering coming here, do it! It’s such a restaurant that’s...

This was our first time eating here. We were welcomed when we arrived. Staff was so very nice and extremely helpful. We weren't sure what to order but the staff made great suggestions. We were given a sample of the clam chowder and the salmon chowder. Both tasted fantastic but we went with the salmon chowder since we had never had it. We got the Alaskan Halibut fish and chips to share. They brought the salmon chowder out to our table along with little chips of shredded cheese and shredded salmon. That made the chowder even better than it already was. The coleslaw was really good and we ended up bringing the rest back to our campsite. The halibut was delicious is and very moist. We went with the Louisiana coating on the fish. They have plenty of seating outside and a smaller seating area inside, which is perfect on a cold day. They have plenty of seafood to select from, sold by the pound. We were just traveling but we do come into the area every year, so this will be our new place to eat whenever we are in town. Thank you for a great dining experience and the Halloween treat...

This place has the best fish and chips I have tasted till date. And the people, they are very friendly and cheerful. Top notch service, freshest food, lovely location, can’t praise enough. The spicy marination of the halibut, crispy yet thick fresh fries (although I would have preferred less oily), was brilliantly complemented by their mayonnaise. The halibut was so good that we ordered some fresh fish (salmon and halibut)to be taken home. They are very honest people (the salmon was very fresh and good quality, still they informed me beforehand that it had been frozen earlier). Since we had a long drive ahead, they also arranged for some ice so that the fishes stay fresh. There was some confusion about the availability of fish tacos, but since that was not clear while ordering, they treated us with an alternative of our choice (salmon po sandwich) and that too without charging anything extra (even though we insisted). It was great as well and totally loved the flavors. This family run restaurant is a gem.

A must go to if you're in Cascade Locks area. Came here for lunch after hiking in the local area on the weekend. As soon as you walk in, they treat you like family. Very friendly, welcoming, and let you sample some of the smoked fish. So many good options from the smoked fish, fish & chips, po boy, ceviche, soups, etc .. It was hard to decide, so ordered a little of everything from the fish & chips, ceviche, clam chowder, salmon chowder, smoked salmon, salmon dip, and a cookie for dessert. Everything was amazing. Fish was extremely fresh and prepared perfectly in each dish. My two favorite dishes were the fish & chips and the smoked salmon, but everything else was a close second. The local ciders were a good complement to the food. What made the food even better was the great customer service. So many of the staff stopped by to make sure everything was going well and if we needed anything else. Even if I'm in Portland on my next trip, I will definitely make the drive to come back here again.
