If I could provide zero stars I would. If you want the worst customer service experience ever, feel free to order from Cost Plus online and deal with their customer service. I was missing items from my order and I had to reach out multiple times over the course of a month and a half to even receive a response. On top of that I provided feedback to a customer service rep and asked some questions and received NO RESPONSE. I followed up again and received NO RESPONSE. To this day, I have never received a response from them and I placed my order in May. Thank goodness I finally got my items or I would be stuck with missing items from my order. I realize that Covid has caused a lot of complications for many businesses (I worked in customer service for an ecommerce company myself) but to wait over a month and a half for a generic response and then receive no response after that, let alone an apology, is completely unacceptable. Dakota followed me around the store and talked to me outside of the store where he asked if I was living on the streets, why I was there (e.g. how people experiencing homelessness often come to the store for the wi-fi) and that he was asking me to get off the property and that he can get security to come. While it makes sense that a store associate may want to make sure no one does anything bad at the store, I felt sad that someone would be so mean. I’m a regular at cost plus, but I had bought a few items before I remembered I was a member of their rewards club and on a credit card I cancelled 2 weeks ago (Amex platinum that is not worth the cost right now). That does not make me a scammer :-(. You have IDs and other mechanisms for checking. Why treat people that way? I guess I should have done the return in my home store :-(.
