This is going to be a bit of a long review but I believe it could come in handy to those who might have questions.
This Walmart location is large, it is mainly known for clothing, office supplies, home supplies, cleaning supplies, ktichen utensils, electronics, sporting goods, toys, an automotive section (with its own tire center), frozen and refrigerated foods, packaged foods, health and beauty, garden center (which doubles as a holiday area for Christmas, Halloween decorations), pet food and necessities, vitamins, and even a pharmacy (I don't go to the pharmacy so I won't comment on what is there and what isn't there).
I will state that if you're looking for a particular produce item, don't come here. It is not a reliable store as what they have as far as fresh fruits or even some veggies are rotated out. This isn't a supercenter, and some in the community have basically made that an impossibility which is unfortunate for those who want a supercenter closer to them than Oroville. So, don't come here thinking it is a Supercenter - it is NOT one.
Next, their health and beauty section is packed with everything you need. I personally go there for shampoo, conditioner, soap, hairbrushes, deodorant and they have a good selection and at great prices. I have never been ripped off at a Walmart, especially this one.
Here are some bulletpoints that would summarize my thoughts all in one section:
the produce and fruits aren't up to Supercenter standards, and they are not reliable as they are rotated out.
Inventory in various departments over a certain dollar amount or popularity is locked up and you will need to request a staff member (which are often times dealing with another customer, because there is a lot of these cases they need to unlock for people) to unlock it for you and that also requires them to put it into a plastic container for you to take with you to either self-checkout or a checkstand and they can open it for you at time of purchasing. This could eat up some time, but don't blame it on the employees, this has to do with the crime statistics (specifically shoplifting) that has, or is, happening throughout the country. Walmart has taken a hit on shoplifting losses and thus they have implemented this system, as well as more loss prevention officers.
The parking lot is large and it is easy to find parking and it is wheelchair accessible to enter the store - Walmart knows what they are doing with making sure all can come into the store. They need to spray down the bushes or the curbs or sidewalks because at times they smell like urine. So, when you are walking from the parking lot to the entrance of the store you may smell it.
The staff here are friendly and helpful. The greeters at the front are nice as well, make sure you say Hi back to them - they are good people.
I have been shopping here for 4 years...
Read moreLiterally, Walmart was, I say it was, my go-to place for food and home supplies for my new apartment. I came back to California and with close to nothing. They allowed overnight parking with adherane to strict cleanliness, noise, and other sanitary guidelines. It was so very helpful. Now, the prices were so incredibly inexpensive because they had the most incredible sales going. I bought so much for so little. đ The staff were so kind to me and my service animal while using the parking lot but when I left after 34 day(s) I was the last man standing in the lot but It was because of their kindness.
This Walmart had the incredible staff and showed the incredible kindness I needed after all the years of service to those in need over the years. It was nice that this staff went out of their way to not only help me but others who I knew appreciated it.
This is a long-winded story, but I hope they never thought I was taking advantage. The store and its prices were great and the staff is better than great.
Over the past 2 months, something at Wal-mart has changed.
It has become a draconian atmosphere and tainted with threats of firings if they help customers in their need to return anything.
The customer is treated like a thief when they try to return more than one item over $25.00 and each service member said if they do the right thing and follow corporate return policies, both employees said " I have children at home and they know it and use them while threatening to fire us if we follow the real Walmart return policy for multiple returns".
"I turned and gave away all the items to people still in line behind me."
For five weeks I lived in my car with my car to save money in case I get a new apartment and almost every day I bought some things, including electronics, bed sheets, comforters, bed protectors. Bissel Carpet Cleaner, bathroom supplies and racks, a safe, and so much more: including food for me and my service dog. I attempted to return the Bissel for a vacuum, the small safe, and a few other things I didn't need,
Along comes team leader Cory, the company bad man, trying to tell me they have rules about returns that even the return desk staff didn't know about.
True, I didn't have all my receipts, but they didn't ask me for any of the cards that I used.
If it weren't for the door and cashier staff being so sweet and helpful during my homelessness, (no names because,Wal-Mart team leaders are mean and hurtful to them when they spend too much time helping regular customers. (You know they think the worst).
I know so many people have been getting back to shopping in a lot of great stores but not shopping Wal-Mart.

Read moreFriendly atmosphere and very good "covid19" safety code preparedness and practice. Overall I gave 4 they could use a bit faster response system over at the secured glass units. By tools area is one and maybe it's because of it's location in the NW corner and everyone is focusing on auto parts or/and camping equipment on each side, slightly off the forgotten tools. But,not for Handy Andy or Joe Blow who's off the radio and out shopping at 9:00 pm for tools to fix his patio. And if he waits for 15 minutes more ,his legs tired and with a sore, I would say hell with Walmart, I'm finding me another store that's open with 3 guys placed in each row. I'm done as easy as 123. Tomorrow patio will finish quick and snappy, and most of all my wife is happy. Whom should I see, whom should I say, where do I send my friend? Will it be you, Walmart or should I tell him about the way, I went the other day, when no body responded, even to say Hey, after I pressed botton and was told to wait. So don't be late, act fast and react even faster, remember costumers are your bosses. Your business and success are built and very much depend on your sales, and your sales give way to invest more and more which will allow more registers to ring open. Walmart you are a great retailer, but know this, there is a greater one standing behind you waiting for you to slip or leave isle unattended for more than it takes to loose a buyer and greater one will not hazatate to take you down. Imagine royalty of all retails in the world goes down, because they didn't make it in time to help a regular guy to get a drill bit out of the glass security cases. Tools are saved, but stop and think. How about our future, our name our professionalism. A few like this and we will be asking the government to cut us a check and what about unemployment? Will they be happy with you after 11,000,000+ files will drop on their desks after they barely just got things straight after covid-19.
