Read moreEDIT: Brookfields response to my lenghty review is a perfect example of how oblivious their team is to their customers' needs. OP: We decided to eat here for the 1st time recently. The food was tasty and hearty. The staff was friendly and welcoming. This quickly became our new favorite restaurant. We returned for a 2nd visit, once again the food was a hit, and the staff was friendly. Our extreme disappointment came when we left. A glass of water spilled, and although a server was quick to wipe up the table, she failed to no the floor. When we left, my 82 year old mother slipped on that water, landing on the floor. A server did offer to assist, but my Mom was stuck on the floor. She landed hard on the floor. My disappointment was also that the manager was too busy asking another server what happened. I could hear the server telling him it was a slip and fall because of the water that spilled earlier. The manager didn't speak to my Mom or even ask if she needed an ambulance or assistance to our car. Because of this, we will not be returning. A manager who is more worried about a lawsuit than the well-being of an elderly customer is not a good manager at all. If he was a good manager, this wouldn't have happened in the first place because he would have been sure to have the floor...

Dinner, not so much. The evening kitchen staff serve food that's often returned to the kitchen for replacement, the restaurant is short staffed in the evening, and the extra load on the servers really downgrades the service.
I like liver and onions. I had this dish in Brookfields Roseville, and it was excellent.
The first time I ordered liver bacon and onions at this restaurant some weeks ago (medium rare) it came cooked to death, but I ate it anyway.
Tonight when I got a repeat performance, I returned it. The replacement was better, but totally unseasoned.
The server didn't replace the cutlery that had gone back with the first plate, so when the replacement arrived, it took about 5 minutes to get cutlery. When I asked for steak sauce to give it some flavor, that took another 5 minutes. The replacement plate came with one rasher of bacon, not two.
Overall, it took me over an hour and a half to get dinner and eat it.
My suggestion? Go to Roseville. They have professional evening kitchen staff, and better management.
The owners don't spend any time in the restaurant but they write gushing responses to the reviews.
So how's their evening business? I took a photo of the restaurant at 6:30 pm and it's...
