Señor Leon Mexican Cantina & Grill — Restaurant in City of Niagara Falls

So I was trying to brighten up my girls day because shark week is almost here. 🤦🏽‍♂️ I asked her what she wanted, and she said beef tacos and and an Ice cap with whip cream (Shoutout to Tim Horton’s). 🤣 I decided to try this place out. BIG MISTAKE! First 🚩 was when I called, it said this persons voicemail was not set up. Like what? So I go there, and walk in and told the guy who took my order. He looked around, and the phone was off the hook.

I gave him my order which was, two orders of beef tacos w/ sour cream, pico de gallo, lettuce, cilantro, cheese. (He said it comes with cheese) wait for the pic 🤦🏽‍♂️ After 20 minutes he brings out the bag, which was suppose to be separated in which it was not.

That’s 🚩 #2 So the nice waitress who was just helping out, took my order to the back to have it separated. (Her service was 5 stars) The guy who took my order had to go into his pocket to get change for another guy. 🚩 🤣🤦🏽‍♂️ So when he came back he’s like what happened to it, I told him the waitress took care of it.

So he finally comes back with the order, I pay and when I get out side guess what? 🚩 I ordered soft tacos, and these were hard. So I go back in and explain that to him. I wait 10 minutes and he brings me another order, and once I got in the car I checked to see if they were soft,

After I dropped off my girls order I went home, and as soon as I opened up the taco there was about a tablespoon of meat. It didn’t taste like seasoned tacos, no cheese, no lettuce, no sour cream. That was the final 🚩 😡🥹😂 I called back, and got the nice waitress who was helping me. I explained what happen she took my number, and said she’ll call me back.

She called me back about five minutes later, and said the manager said he’ll give me complimentary tacos when I decide to come in. PLOST TWIST! I’m NEVER going back EVER. 🤣🤷🏽‍♂️🚩🚩🚩🚩 So if you’re reading this, and you want to try out this place for yourself. It’s on me, go there and tell them your name is Orundi...

This place is not fit to be open to the public. I'm disappointed because everyone enjoys a good taco.

There are so many issues. I'll start with the bathrooms.

The bathrooms look like a slum lord had to repair them after a party that got out of hand. The stall doors are hollow core residential interior doors with a hunk chopped of the bottom. The hinges have been re mounted, and the tile is full of holes from that. The top of the urinal partitions are not even finished, just raw lumber. The cleanout cover is sitting in the corner of the toilet stall because someone probably had to snake the sewer and didn't put it back together.

There are piles of TP on the floor.

The toilet paper refills are sitting on the countertop in a big puddle melting away.

The ceiling tiles are broken and falling down . There are open electrical boxes with no covers. The floors are both sticky and greasy at the same time. I didn't think that was possible.

That's the basics on the bathrooms.

Now on to the food. My wife had Barbacoa tacos. The bowl of dipping sauce was cold, not like it wasn't hot, and I'm exaggerating, but it was literally cold, like out of the fridge.

We ordered the chorizo queso cheese. They delivered it with no chips. It took 15 min to get the wait staffs attention to get chips by the time it came .....it too was cold.

I got steak burritos and was served chicken. Besides that it wasn't bad.

They seem to have put a lot of thought into the bar ,the margarita advertising slogans look good, and the decorations are nice. Maybe they were indulging instead of directing a construction crew. The chairs were nice at the tables, though, so there is a plus.

This restaurant is the worst I have reviewed in a long time, maybe ever.

I hope they get a good manager in there because the owner is going to be in debt really quick, and everyone will be unemployed. tourist season is almost over, so only locals will be eating there soon, and the word...

. In response to the restaurant, they responded saying they would contact me, which they have NOT done. No one has reached out to us.

We were so looking forward to having another option for mexican food here in NF but sadly, this is just disappointing. I know that they just opened but our waiter said that they have two other restaurants (and he came from one of the other restaurants) so we were expecting a little bit more. The service was atrocious, the drinks meh and the food bland. It took forever to get our drinks (two margaritas) and despite them saying you can have your margarita made how you want (with you choice of flavor and tequila), our waiter told us the margaritas are pre-made and they can't change them. It took forever just to get two raspberry margaritas, that we asked for on the rocks and came frozen (to compare, a table that was seated, and ordered, after us, had their food before we even got our drinks. Our appetizer came without chips and when we asked for chips, we were told it was a $2 charge. We said OK because it's kind of hard to eat cheese dip without them. We never got the chips, so therefore, couldn't eat the appetizer except to dip our fingers in it to try. The food came and the rice was flavorless and the beans were cold. We never got the sides that were supposed to come with the meal (tortillas, sour cream, pico de gallo, etc.) so got to just eat the meat and veggies from the fajitas. Again, stuff was cooked OK but had zero seasoning. Our waiter was great at disappearing... never got stuff we asked for, never came to check to see how things were going, never came to ask if we wanted refills or needed anything. We had to ask for the bill and he just took the credit card and came back with a slip for us to sign... no bill. Wanted it to be good but it...
