WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! A one star review is way too much!! If there were negative star options, this would be a NEGATIVE 10 STAR review!! On May 7, 2024 we bought a dishwasher from the Niagara Falls, New York Home Depot, paid for it in full, including installation and agreed on a delivery date of May 11, 2024. Called on May 10, 2024 to confirm delivery time for the next day. Sara Moss, the "Associate" we were dealing with, confirmed the May 11, 2024 delivery. Some time after our May 10, 2024 phone call with "Associate" Sara Moss, Home Depot sent us an e-mail at 3:00 p.m. arbitrarily and unilaterally re-scheduling delivery to May 13, 2024 for reasons unknown and not explained. Installation was a nightmare! The 2 men who came with the dishwasher on May 13, 2024 to do the installation said they could NOT do it because there was no shut off valve for the water! Home Depot/their installation company said they would come and install a shut off valve for FREE. Waited until May 21, 2024 for them to show up. The next installer said he could not do the shut off valve without cutting through the kitchen floor and the bottom cabinet AND it would cost an ADDITIONAL $250.00 plus tax despite being told it would be FREE!! BAIT AND SWITCH!! AND ruining kitchen cabinets!! Yes!! That was Home Depot's plan!! All of these installers had taken pictures with their cell phones and sent them to God only knows where/who so ALL of them should have had an EXACT idea of what needed to be done! If this would have been our first dishwasher, then we would have understood the installation dilemma, but this was our THIRD dishwasher being put in the IDENTICAL same place as the 2 old ones before it! No issues installing other 2 dishwashers!! Sara Moss, the Home Depot rep we were dealing with, was rude, stupid and ignorant and of absolutely no help. Requested to speak to a Manager. Kassim came on the phone and identified himself as a "Manager". Again, rude, stupid and ignorant and of no help whatsoever. By now, we have had enough of Home Depot and their totally incompetent "Associates" and "Managers" and on May 21, 2024 we cancelled the dishwasher, demanding a full refund. Kassim said someone would call to arrange for pick up of the dishwasher. Today is May 22, 2024 and still no one has called!! And no refund has been issued!! NEVER AGAIN will we EVER buy another appliance from Home Depot!!! Our business has now gone to Lowe's where they KNOW how to treat a paying customer!!! We have also CANCELLED our Home Depot credit card and WILL not be paying ANYTHING for a dishwasher that still has NOT been installed OR picked up, despite our demand for the refund and the dishwasher being picked up. Read moreIf I could give them zero stars I would. DO NOT 🚫 use Homedpot. Well at least the one in Niagara Falls on Builders Way. This stores customer service even their service is Terrible. I paid for a measurement of a door 🚪 to be installed. The installer came knocked once on the door and left. Homedpot give me a hard time to get the guy to come back. When he did come back it took 3 days for the contractor to send the measurements to Homedpot.
I had to keep calling and emailing them to get a scheduled date for install and to pay for the work.
I got an email stating my installation date was July 29th at 7am-8am, Saturday. Well after numerous phone calls, being hung up on, dealing with a person whom they said was on lunch break (for 3hrs, because I called each hour from the first time I was told she was on lunch break) the last call the customer service person told me that yes she can take 3hrs because she is so busy.
Well I finally got someone who took my payment and said everything was good. Then I get a email telling me that I have to send back some signed documents before my payment can go through.
I signed and scanned and emailed the docs, then told everything was good. But the contractor called and said they needed to schedule the install. I told them my date, she said they don't do installs on Saturday and I needed to contact Homedpot. Spoke to numerous people at least 6 people before I could get this straightened out. Yes I did speak with a manager and she was no help. She just kept defending everyone, which I had to tell
Didn't care who was at fault or Why . I just want the work done.
I suggest to anyone reading this review don't use Homedpot in Niagara Falls, you will be disappointed. Taking my business to Lowes. Oh by the way I have been using this Homedpot for 18 yrs, but I'm done, this incident has taken me over the top. I had many problems before, but this was just ridiculous.

Read moreTerrible....terrible. Customer service is basically non-existent. I needed help choosing the correct fuse for my fuse box, so I asked for someone in the electrical dept. An associate said he would call someone. After waiting literally 15 min, I saw the same person and asked if they had called someone. He responded by saying he asked someone else to call someone to come over, and neither of them actually did. Then, when I finally had someone help me (an older gentleman) he was very condescending- and acted as though I was bothering him by asking for help. Today when I went in, the same gentleman was in electric. When I walked passed him, he was actually on his cellphone- talking about the running around to the bank and other errands he had to run tomorrow morning. This is thoroughly depressing, as I am updating and fixing a lot problems in the house I just bought, about 2 mins away from this location- and continue to spend a lot of money while doing so. It would be nice to give my money to a company that actually values it and my business. The difference between the customer service in Value Home Center (about 8-10 mins away) and this Home Depot location, is stark to say the least. If i could give 0 stars I absolutely would without hesitation. By-in-large this is a CONSTANT AND ONGOING problem in this location. Im guessing there has been someone else put in the position of store manager in the last few years- as you can see a SHARP decline in any semblance of customer service or professionalism. Next time you go in this location- seriously take note of how many associates are talking to each other, as opposed to helping customers. However, I did have two separate cashiers both times I went and they were great. I believe their names were Brenden (in garden) and Marquis, who was on a register in-store.
