First time eating here. Was at the Tribe/Devil Ray's game over at Progressive Field on 5/25/19. After a 2-hour fake rain delay where we basically sat there and stared at the infield tarp, the Indians decided to go in full suck mode and not even show up and play. After the 7th inning we left and headed to (216) Pizza. This was was our first time here. (216) Pizza is very nice place. The staff was very friendly and so was our waiter. We ordered the provolone cheese wedges. They were quite good. My girlfriend loved them. But we were there for the pizza so we chose the Carnivore. The Carnivore had sausage, pepperoni, ham, and bacon. Their pizzas are of the woodfired variety. It came out super hot. It had their regular red sauce, mozzarella, and grated parmesan sprinkled on top. There might have been some basil too. The pizza was very good. It was not too greasy nor was it too cheesy. Now some people, like my girlfriend, may prefer more cheese but I was okay with it. The crust was very good, thin which I like, and not doughy. It had the right amount of crisp and some serious flop on the end. The meat toppings were very good. Their pepperoni was not spicy. Generally speaking, the pizza was not spicy at all. The sauce had good flavor and tang. I enjoyed it. If I had to score this pizza on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 7.8. Very good considering I like New York style pizza. The food is very good, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere at (216) Pizza is great. I definitely would recommend this place to any pizza connoisseur.

This establishment took a pizza from a well established restaurant and named it the exact same thing “Dilly Dilly”. My spouse & I decided to try both to put to rest who had the best pickle pizza seeing as Pizza 216 added it for All Star weekend & to find out SMASH Pizza Express has had the Dilly Dilly for over a year on their menu! Well we bought both and commented our taste test review (see attached photos) ONLY for the arrogant person behind the social media page to delete it not once but twice bc we gave SMASH the taste win (looked better too) They aren’t rated the best in Cle for nothingg!! This was our first time trying SMASH and our last purchase from 216 as they falsely represented “their pizza” and it was no where near SMASH’s delicious pie! Change the name and be authentic copycats are just not the way in the restaurant business! The slice pictured was SMASH’s Yummy!! I blocked out other peoples details from fb to be courteous of their privacy as I don’t know them however, go view the post on Pizza 216’s page. My review and comment was deleted though ohh and then I was blocked from interacting with the post after the second delete.

I been this place several times. Nothing change. One of the worst pizza places downtown. The entire business is a joke. The Bartender Shae M is a sorry employee. Her main attitude was to entertain all her friends and staff at the end of bar. Not tentive at all to customers. The wings $10.00 with Garlic Parm was discussed, sauce water, the wings was cold and sauce was cold. But they were extra small wings. The pizza 🍕 was terrible. The cold green onions you put on after the pizza comes out is hot mess. It should have been cooked with every thing else before. The can sauce they used wasnt tastefull and dry. Pizza was dry. Put some dam sauce on pizza stop being cheap. The pizza wasn't even hot. You provided serviced and think that paying customers should just take what you serve. DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. PIZZA HUT OR DOMINO'S SERVE BETTER PRODUCTS. I REALLY HOPE THIS PLACE CLOSED DOWN. I ALSO BOUGHT A WARM BEER THAT CAME OUT COOLER. AHE NEVER CHECKED OR ASK WAS ANYTHING ALL RIGHT. I THREW EVERYTHING AWAY ONCE I WALK OUT THAT DOOR.

Edit: This business committed credit card fraud by changing a takeout tip from $2.00 to $50.00 in retaliation for a 1 star review. Cleveland Police have been contacted along with American Express which has already issued a chargeback.

The owner of this business (Johnny Lis), in an effort to retaliate against me for a 1 star review, has begun harassing me via phone and text message and has also stalked my LinkedIn profile. He has threatened to contact my employer to make defamatory statements. He has also repeatedly used a slur to reference my membership in the LGBTQ+ community. As such I have filed a harassment complaint against him with my local police department. Mr. Lis has also committed libel by making written claims that I was drunk and belligerent at his establishment while picking up a takeout order (FYI Johnny, Hyatt management have already been contacted to request that they retain security camera footage from The Arcade which your business is located within in order to assist in proving your statements are libelous).

Take your business elsewhere. The food is good. The people are the definition of trash.

Review of original experience on 2/22/24:

Abysmal service and attitude from the employees/management. Stood around for a good 4-5 minutes waiting for someone to greet me when I came to pickup my takeout order. Saw staff chitchatting with each other while I waited at the counter. One of the pizza prep guys had to go get the bartender to stop gossiping and actually do her job.

Not only is cashing an order outside of her wheelhouse, it would seem that packing a bag is also beyond her comprehension. A portion of my order was missing when I got back to my room at the Hyatt and unpacked the bag.

Returned to Pizza 216 to report that part of my order was missing. I was told they'd remake my order as the unbagged items had already been discarded. I declined the offer to remake the food as I just wanted to wrap up my day and go climb in bed in my hotel room. Management issued a refund for the missing items but refused to issue the refund to my corporate credit card instead giving me cash despite my objections. While trying to express my frustrations the manager mocked me telling me to "use your words like a big boy", which is incredibly insulting considering I am on the autism spectrum, albeit high functioning.

It’s an order of nachos and garlic knots. There’s no reason for it to get screwed up. This solely happened because the bartender was too inattentive to pack half the order in a bag. Get rid of your ditzy, airhead of a bartender rather than cop an attitude with a repeat customer who calls a spade a spade. When I dared to call out the inattentive behavior of the bartender I was met with numerous obscenities and told to leave in an incredibly aggressive and unprofessional manner which included a slur referencing my membership in the LGBTQ+ community.

I stay at the attached Hyatt over 100 nights per year and I’ll be taking my 4-5 monthly orders to DoorDash and Domino’s after the treatment I received tonight from the bartender and her meathead manager. I’ll also be having a conversation with the Hyatt GM about the unacceptable behavior of one of their tenants...

The food was good. Nothing that really stood out or that was special but it was fine. It was almost like $50 fast food.

Unfortunately the staff were not very friendly at all. They seemed annoyed. The hostess that seated us also gave us silverware wrapped in a dirty napkin. It noticeably had pizza sauce all over it. I also saw a staff being rude to another customer. They had a concern on their order and the staff said “well I don’t what you want me to do about it.” In the rudest way. The social skills just seemed all around lacking for anyone working in the service industry. Our server barely gave us any attention. One of the guys in the pizza making station burped so loudly and it was just off putting. We also asked if the bartender was able to make a hot toddy, they gave us warm water with lemon and honey and said they don’t have the ingredients for a hot toddy. But those are all the ingredients for a hot toddy without the bourbon or whiskey. That seemed odd. My “old fashioned” was also just bourbon on the rocks- 0 flavor. And that was a drink on the menu. Maybe the bartender was off and someone was filling in but for $12 it wasn’t just good. The music was a bit loud for 3pm (and a very random song lineup) but it could of been fun if it weren’t for everyone seeming like they had a bad attitude it was just uncomfortable instead. I’ll add that that it was hardly busy and there were plenty of staff.

We like to try new pizza shops etc when we travel so we don’t regret trying the pizza but can easily say we won’t...
