Barely 2 stars... only for the food though- service would be a 0!

To start with, I called early in the morning since the place has a reputation for having very long lines. I called and asked what the wait time was, and was told it was approximately an hour and a half. At the end of the conversation, I was informed that they had a brand new amazing app where I could put myself in line remotely. I downloaded the app and put myself in line. The app told me I had about a three hour wait ahead of me and that it would text me when my table was ready.

About an hour and 15 minutes later, I call just to verify the accuracy of my place in line, and see how long we currently timewise. The first person I spoke to had zero idea what I was referring to and said that the current wait time was an hour and 45 minutes. I tried desperately to explain to him that I was already in line and had been for over an hour and solely wanted to see how much time was left. After a two minute conversation trying to get some details, I asked to speak to someone else or a manager since he wasn’t understanding my question.

The next person I talk to actually took my name and information and proceeded to look me up. She informed me that I was not even on the list but that she could place me on the list and I could wait almost 2 hours. She said the only other thing I could do was come in and speak to a manager in person. I came into the restaurant and try to explain my situation at which point the staff was very friendly and were able to see us within 10 minutes of us waiting in person.

Once we actually got seated, tensions were high but we were relieved to just be there and the prospect of some amazing food kept us at bay. They had a very nice menu with farm to table options and a seasonal menu with all offerings. Being fall, that included a pumpkin pie pancake plate which is what I ordered. It came with 2 eggs and sausage. Once the food arrived, I was dismayed that my eggs and sausage were ice cold. I had to send them back to get hot eggs.My food must have must have been out first and was sitting out while my friend for being prepared as there is were hot.

Our waitress was very nice and offered us coffee immediately. When she left, we realized that while we had coffee and creamers and sugar, we had no silverware or anything to start the coffee with. We couldn't get her attention for another 10 minutes so I’ll we had a hot coffee it was not drinkable.

Overall the food tasted very good and the atmosphere was fun and new! And the price was OK for what I was expecting.

The fact that we had to wait crazy amounts of time without much understanding from the staff, and cold eggs and coffee, it all just KILLED the...

I've been wanting to visit this place due to the delicious-looking menu, and I have to say, the food was definitely good. However, I'm subtracting a star due to the service we received.

The drinks we ordered were the Morning Meditation Fresh Juice, Kale Tonic Fresh Juice, and Purple Haze. Out of the three, the Purple Haze left a great impression from the start. The taste of lavender was surprisingly great. However, it became very sweet quickly. The next juice that left a great impression was the Morning Meditation Fresh Juice. The different layers provide different flavors, but when combined, it tastes really great--it isn't too sweet but it's flavorful. Last is the Kale Tonic Fresh Juice. You can just taste how healthy it is! It definitely wasn't my favorite.

Moving onto our meals--we had the Smoked Salmon Benedict, Market Hash, Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl, and the 2 For You. Comparing Kerbey Lane Cafe's Egg Benedict to First Watch's Egg Benedict, I'd have to say First Watch is the winner. Although it had a very strong flavor of tomato, the salmon provides great flavor and the eggs were cooked perfectly. If you're looking for a light meal with light flavors, try the Smoked Salmon Benedict! The Market Hash was the best dish we had, minus the fruits it came with. The Market Hash tasted extremely similar to Cheese Fries, so if that's something you like, the Market Hash is a must try! The Whole Grain Artisan Toast with Jelly was a favorite of mine--it's quite addicting. As for the 2 For You and the Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl, they both tasted great and clean.

Now, onto the disappointing factor, the customer service we encountered. We felt like our server wasn't attentive. When we were seated, we asked for utensils and an extra cup of water when we ordered our drinks. Our water never came, so we had to ask again when our food came out. We also had to ask for utensils again until we finally received them. As we were eating, we were handed our checks prior to finishing our food so we felt a bit rushed to get out of there, even though there was ample time prior to closing (about 30 minutes).

Overall, the food was definitely great. It was filling and definitely worth it for its price. The service, on the other hand, wasn't great, even though the place was crowded...

First want to say we have visited this restaurant many time and like coming here. Ironically the time they ask us for a review was probably the not best times we have had here.

First, we checked in on their website to put our name on the list. Website said it would be no longer then a 30 minute wait. So we drove to the restaurant just to wait an additional 20 minutes. A total of 50 minutes was us "waiting in line." We ask the manager and the person up front how exactly does putting your name on the list works in relationship to just being a walk up. Neither one of them could tell us and pretty much said it does not do anything.

One star is knocked off for providing the customer with a false since that the website provides to the customer because in reality it does not do anything. We will no longer use the website to put out names on the list. Advice no one else to do it. And to the manager/owner... why offer the customer something that does not do anything. Probably should just take that option away.

Half a star off for the waiter telling us, "we are trying to boost our online reviews presences and if you leave a 5 star review, I can give you your drinks for free." Should go with out saying but if your buying reviews from customers is not ethical and should not be done.

Another half star off for the combination of the food taking way longer then normal to get to out table when compared to our other visits. On top of that they messed up on of out orders.

Probably should have taken more off for the last two half stars but like I said this visit has been the worst of our many visits here. But 3 stars is a honest neutral stance on this...

First time experience here while visiting college Station, my significant and I were craving some breakfast food, and we stopped by this location. even though it was a full house on a Saturday morning, we were seated within 10 minutes, our waitress was not very attentive. She took our drink orders and our entrée orders and then she disappeared and didn’t come back so we had to go to the front. I ordered the morning meditation (7/10) and the chikichanga 👎🏽, which came with a salsa verde crema sauce and roasted potatoes. However I was not that far into my dish and found a hair . Our waitress was no where to be found and im not sure where the manager was so I just didnt eat that part. So please overview your plate before digging in. My significant other had the Carne Asada hash (6/10) the dish was very bland and the eggs were very under cooked for them being sunny side up… and he also had the blackberry tea (8.5/10). We also got a side of the turkey sausage which was very pale almost grey…👎🏽..We did want to get some drinks to go but again our waitress disappeared and we were patiently waiting for about 10 to 15 minutes before checking out to leave. So we left with no to go drinks. Overall maybe they were not have the best day but we will not be back to this location. The arrow points to the hair … which I didnt see until after I started to eat 😔.

Wanted something tasteful and quick this morning due to our time constraints. Place was across the street from hotel, we arrived and were seen by the manager of some level who was doing paperwork at the door. She ignored us but mentioned us to the kitchen area. We were finally greeted & sat at our table. We placed our drink and food order at the same time; I was able to get one refill of soda because of the lack of our waitress checking on us. I order French toast and eggs which was good. My wife ordered eggs Benedict and her lunch meat literally came out of the package because it was still bundled up. We finally had to walk up to hostess stand where all 5 waiters / waitress’ were hovering. The restaurant was not busy at all, lack of attention was horrible, hopefully their attitudes and attentions improves through the summer
