Upgraded my review to 2 stars from a 1 star due to front desk apologizing upon check out and confirmed what I suspected (they have no choice and ownership dictating a genuine 3rd world experience).
This will get too long if I put down all the issues. First let me think of any positives....ummm....this is hard. It was cheaper than most other places.
Issues were long:
banging on my door hours before checkout wanting to know if staying over. I didn't know and told them I'll let them know before check out time. since I was working and don't want to be disturbed by housekeeping I asked where they do not disturb sign was and they said they don't know. half hour before check out the front desk is banging on the door again wanting to know if I'm staying over but this time I had found a do not disturb sign which was on the door and clearly ignored. toilets have a big red sign saying don't flush anything like paper and all sorts of other obstacles down the toilet which should be common sense, but you really can't flush even the slightest amount of toilet paper. So the plumbing isn't hardly functional. noticed the floor had not been swept and there was a old key card on the floor near the door and when I took a shower my feet were black and clearly floor was absolutely filthy. night light near the bed didn't work so I tried all sorts of different things before I realized that it wasn't plugged in. Was it not plugged in because they pulled all the furniture out to clean the floor thoroughly? See previous comment. upon returning my key, the front desk apologize because they knew I was irritated about all the disturbances that were unnecessary, so I raised the review to 2 stars for having empathetic staff that understood customers were no happy.
If you are a college student or somebody with absolutely no money, no understanding of how a motel room should be and need the very lowest price just to have a roof over your head, look no further this is your place.
Are you here on a vacation and can afford $10 a night more to stay somewhere that is not Indian culture/class/standards with terrible policies with virtually no maintenance and hardly functional rooms, do the smart thing and go somewhere else.
One more- as I was showering I accidentally leaned against the tiles and it felt slimy on my arm and as I started washing my arm off I noticed something crusty from the shower wall wash down. Just low...
Read moreI will request anyone who is planning to stay at this location with their family, please avoid at all cost. " STAY AWAY" It is not worth for safety, cleanness and hygiene issues along with worst customer service ever. I am not sure how Days Inn allow people to buy their franchise for run down building to put the safety of human beings as risk. Here are the follows issue my family faced;
My daughter have hard time breathing and cannot able to sleep hard time who is only 6 and had a hard time breath in DAYS Inn room due to smell which is related to Tobacco and mold etc, and they claim they gave us a non-smoking , clean room.
Mold can be found in bathroom, fridge and under the AC Unit.
Ceiling is chipping off so you might get stuff on your face, be careful of it.
Breakfast is deceiving, they have one one to two item and even that it not cooked properly, you can see in the trash can pic that most of people throw their breakfast. See in the pics where is the shelves are empty. Do attempt to drink the coffee, it taste like a Tab water.
Phones in the room says " Destin Village Inn" if you call the number on this phone it goes to Destin Inn not "Days Inn" you lucky if you phone is working in a room. The owner bought a run down hotel and change the name to Days Inn and pay their franchise fee's. I hope someone can reports to Days Inn for allowing their name for this run down property.
When I went to the front desk and talk to them they are rude as no joke. When I try to take the pic of the Days Inn front desk the front desk person want to call 911 because I though his picture was in it. They staff as this hotel do not seem to have a proper training. The person who was at the night time on the front desk at night, he was painting parking lot in the morning.
The bed sheets and towels have random hair :( so please check your bed, and towels before using it.
They was some other stuff on on the hotel premises which I will leave for other customers to talk about which might to be appropriate here.
The only purpose to post this review that no one have to experience this with their family, especially if you have infants or young kids.
We left early from this old losing money due to the condition of it and how the customer service treated us and the health conditioning of my daughter.
STAY AWAY!!!!!!! the price might not worth for the bad and...
Read moreWhere to start. First off, before I even get there, there was a failed transaction to my account from here the morning of my arrival. I was wondering why a transaction occurred in the first place when I know I was supposed to pay once I arrived on the property and I have all that in my email confirmation. Then I get a message from the motel about the transaction. I called and the lady I spoke to was rude because I didn’t appreciate her running my card without my permission. She said they were packed and had to do a preauthorization on my card because they were packed. That’s completely fine with me, but contact me before you run my card so there is no misunderstandings. Next, after we check in, the room we received was nothing like what I was expecting as well. I expected our room to have extra space and a couch or love seat type furniture in there and it wasn’t there. For these two issues, the third party sites were said to be the blame for these. I really don’t care whose fault it is, at the end of the day these issues need to be resolved quick so there is no more false advertising and misunderstandings as far as how and when a customer will be paying. Next, the fridge and microwave was dirty and not cleaned. The fridge was plugged up into the outlet made for the bathroom sink area, which it being plugged over there is a safety hazard. There were visible stains in my sheets and there is no way the housekeeper made my bed and didn’t catch that. Then, after our first night when the housekeeper is supposed to replace the bathroom linens, he or she took the used linens, didn’t replace them, I had to go to office to get new linens myself after 10pm at night once we arrived back at the room from being gone all day. The housekeeper left our door open after our room was serviced because the door was open and don’t you know someone could have came in and stole all of our belongings because of the housekeeper’s negligence??? I seriously was disgusted with my stay and wouldn’t recommend anybody staying here unless it’s their last resort. After all I’ve been through here, I need at least half of what I spent on this room if I’m to be properly accommodated for negligence, uncleanliness, rudeness, and failure to communicate due to laziness and/or...
