Full fridge/dishwasher, has dishes, utensils, mixing bowls, toaster, cutting board, towels, dish detergent, hot pads, toaster, colander and more. You can request a portable cook top and pans. The coffee pot makes up to two cups-coffee pods provided and tea. Bath: No lock on the sliding door. Shower gel and Neutragena shampoo dispenser, byo conditioner. King Suite: spacious, sitting area and tons of cubbies/storage/drawers. Charging plugs and USB ports on the side tables. Blackout shades great. Brought my own disinfectant spray and showered the room before touching anything, remote included & did not have any housekeeping in the room. Bed/pillows pretty comfy. If sensitive to road noise, request a room away from 98, was on that side and slept like a rock. Love that they have recycling in the rooms and on each floor. Breakfast: Covid version is prob not normal. Never waited too long and I they followed social distancing/safe protocols. Every day had something different. Servers were super helpful. Ask for any special requests and they will go out of the way to accommodate. Had sandwich options, waffles, cereal, fruit, hb eggs, omelets, breakfast bowl good but spicy. Beach access: Public beach is 4 min walk per stopwatch from hotel. The beach is EXTREMELY tiny had covid claustrophobia with so many people packed like sardines. Recommend to keep walking left/east along the beach past the condos to Henderson Beach 4 min 15 seconds from public beach. Has several covered picnic table areas, grills, foot wash/restrooms. Drivers pay an entrance fee. Pet friendly: Brought two very small dogs, have only had them a year, they were rescues (owned by drug addicts, never saw a vet, not sure ages even). Love to travel and wanted to bring them with us since we thought they’d be more traumatized being left with a stranger than with us but we didn’t know for sure how they’d do—they travel great in the car. After the first night had a message that someone complained dogs had woken them twice. Since was gone for breakfast 7:45-8:15am-they didn’t bark at all overnight was distressed they had disturbed others and they were freaked out being in a new place and didn’t know we would come back for them-didn’t want to traumatize our dogs or other guests. Went to front desk asking if we could get a refund for the rest of the stay and would turn around and drive the 12 hours back home. I wish I knew her name, but she reassured that we wouldn’t be kicked out of the hotel for barking dogs, try giving them treats when you leave, and was so encouraging offering many suggestions. God bless her! We decided to stay. Dogs have been much calmer learning a new routine and we crate them when gone. I am sure they bark (as dogs will) but between the hours of 10-7 as we come and go. I hear babies crying, other pets barking, children shrieking, people talking loudly in halls at all hours and so forth. Thank you for being pet friendly! There are many stations around the grounds that provide bags for poop disposal. There isn’t a designated pet area per se but plenty of green space around the property. There is an off leash dog park nearby which used a couple times for exercise and to take them on a field trip on their vacation. And the hotel has dog bone treats near the front desk for the furkids. Fantastic! Side notes: Pool is more of a wading pool, not as big as photos suggest kid friendly not really for “swimming.” No hot tub. One elevator was acting funky and it was repaired within one day. There is no safe in the room-didn’t like having our electronics locked in a hot car every day which was the only negative as far as amenities. Had no issues with wifi just had to log in every day. Saw staff constantly cleaning public areas. Great location, very close to WalMart and Dollar Tree. Short walk to The Back Porch Seafood Restaurant (very...
Read moreGreat staff & guest customer care!! This will be our go-to hotel when staying in the Destin, FL area. We stayed for 5 nights as a mini-vacation and were thrilled when I called the day before our arrival to see if we could get a room on a high floor with a nice view, away from noise if possible, as we were also working during the day. It was either Gavia or Katrina (I am so sorry that I did not write down your name!) who was at the front desk who scheduled us for room 434, that was not only a corner room, very quiet, but overlooked the Gulf of Mexico! (OK there were 2 buildings further away that blocked a portion of the view, but still, we were able to see quite a bit of the Gulf from our window – beautiful!) The next morning I asked Debbie who was at the front desk at 6:00 am if we could get a 2nd chair in our room, and she came through within the hour, personally bringing up an additional very comfortable office chair. The “breakfast” staff – Ava, Jacqueline, and Winsome had everything hot and ready to go at 6:00 am every morning. I was surprised and very happy at the variety of food options available every day – at least 3 kinds of hot egg choices with or without meats (and cold hard boiled eggs), waffle makers (my husband had these every day!), bagels, English & pastry muffins, bread (butter, jellies, peanut butter, Nutella & toaster), oatmeal, 3 kinds of cereal, yogurt, and an “additions” bar that included nuts, chocolate chips, granola, cranberries, blueberries (they were so sweet!) coconut, apples (very crisp – not mushy), bananas, oranges, and of course fruit juices, coffee (with all kinds of creamers including my favorite hazelnut) and tea. (I’m probably missing things as there was so much to choose from!) The breakfast area was very clean and excellently organized - with labels by everything so you could easily read what things were, including where to place trash and used dishes. Our room was perfect - very quiet with the entire side of the room set up as desk/counter/drawers and storage, a “sitting” area with couch and TV (that swiveled so you could also watch from the bed), and a kitchen with sink, dishwasher, disposal, full fridge/freezer and large microwave allowed us to have lunch and some dinners in the room. The room was actually a full studio apartment! I swim every morning and was very pleased that the pool was heated to I think about 82 degrees. Also, it's a 2 minute walk on a quiet street to the state park beach!!! Cannot state enough how kind staff were with front-desk Debbie, and breakfast staff Ava, Jacqueline, and Winsome greeting us every morning at 6:00 am, with smiles, asking how we were, and chatting for a bit. Thank you all so much for making us feel “at home” and for all of the work you do!! We will...
Read moreStayed here for a trip with myself and my wife for several days to explore the destin area. Wanted to post some pros and cons Pros: Great location right off the highway and easy to get to (little highway noise in rooms but not bad). Easy 3 minute walk to beach and tons of local restaurants around. We drove to so many good spots within 15 mins. Airport commute was around 30 mins. Although we didn’t have it the breakfast was offered daily and seemed to be pretty popular (ends at 930am and we enjoyed the extra sleep). The rooms are a good size and we’re clean upon our arrival. Housekeeping was great for our room and responded promptly when we contacted them to remove extra trash (they service the rooms every other day). The pool on-site was nice and cool although crowded. The hotel offers a nice offering of small snacks and drinks in the lobby
Nowwwww the negative Cons: The hotel is extremely loud. We heard people yelling and running down the hallways from 7am till 1130pm. The doors slam constantly adding to this noise. The hallways and common areas are not cleaned very often. We checked into our room stepping over potatoes chips, crumbs and trash in all of the hallways. These piles sat for 2 days before housekeeping cleaned the hallway. House keeping comes by in the morning and left these piles for days. House keeping in the room was great although they only come every other day (we had to call to have our trash taken out) the hotel pool is clean but in our entire stay we saw 0 pool towels restocked or offered. The pool was consistently full of screaming children and toys being thrown above our heads. They will not let anyone check in before 4 pm. We arrived around 130pm and were told we would be contacted via phone when our room was ready, understandable no one can guarantee early check in. The phone call or notification never arrived. We returned at 5pm to find our room was now magically ready Overall would I return? No I think if you’re looking for a family hotel with extra space and don’t mind the noise it could work. If you’re looking for some relaxation this may not be the place for you
The photos are of a king “suite” and I will say we enjoyed the kitchen and full...
