I had an amazing time at Reggae Grille, and Iām still raving about the food! This place is a Jamaican treasure with a chill vibe, reggae tunes, and some of the most flavorful dishes Iāve ever tasted. The menu is packed with authentic classics, but the oxtails, jerk chicken, and curry goat completely stole the show.
The oxtails were unrealātender, fall-off-the-bone meat in a rich, savory gravy with just the right kick of spice. Every bite was packed with deep, warm flavors like thyme and a hint of heat that made me want more. The jerk chicken was perfectly charred and juicy, coated in a smoky, spicy marinade that balanced bold allspice and scotch bonnet peppers. It was so good I couldāve eaten it all day. The curry goat was another hitāsuper tender with a fragrant, spicy curry sauce that had me scooping up every last drop with the fluffy rice and peas.
Other add-ons, like sweet plantains and beef patties, were the perfect match for the bold mains. The portions are generous, and the prices are totally reasonable for such high-quality food. The staff were super friendly and made the whole experience even better with their warm service. Reggae Grille is the real deal for Jamaican food thatās bursting with flavor. If youāre craving oxtails, jerk chicken, or curry goat done right, this spot is a must-visit. Iām already looking forward to my next trip back for another plate of that incredible...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur first time trying this little restaurant. We had a discount coupon from a school charity, but were pleasantly surprised. Authentic, family-owned and everything was spiced perfectly. We had a Jamaican veggie patty, a traditional āmeat-pieā that is similar to an empanada. (they also a beef or chicken version). We also had an appetizer of jerked chicken wings. For our main courses, wife had a chicken stew with rich brown gravy, potatoes and carrots. I had the jerked pork shoulder that was marinated and grilled crispy. Both entrees were served with sides of sautĆ©ed vegetables and traditional āpeas & riceā, a Caribbean standard of white rice and pigeon peas. The portions were generous and we each took home a box of leftovers. They did a good take-out business and also noticed they served a daily $9.99 lunch special. We are from Louisiana, and ordered everything āmedium spicedā, which was perfect for us. But I did try some of the scotch pepper sauce, which was nice for a little extra kick. Wife says she would definitely come back for the chicken stew. We made it a point to tell the cook how much...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered food for pickup and 2 minutes before the pickup time (after waiting 30 minutes ) they email me saying itās unavailable and theyāll issue a refund in 3-5 days. A waste of time and money.
In response to your reply I was specific and truthful . I have screenshots of all interactions which included the time the order was placed as well as when the cancellation message was emailed to me.If you need those I will gladly have them sent to you. What need do I have to state in my review that I had no interest in waiting another maybe 30 minutes for you to prepare the only other non meat option (something Iāve never even tried before ) that was available ? If everything was done immediately on your end as you claim I wouldnāt have had to wait until physically coming into the restaurant for an employee to let me know itās unavailable and what my options are when my telephone number is attached to the order. Instead of trying to argue with people on the internet focus on improving the customer service and communication within...
