IKEA Restaurant — Restaurant in Draper

We are frequent goer to IKEA restaurant whenever we are nearby for the price and food selections. For the last few months, my kid got food poisoning 5 times from eating their mac and cheese he kept throwing up and sickness accompanied by fever and stomachaches. Does not seem like they follow food safety and leave food on their food bar for however long until next customer buys it… which it should be discarded every once in a while so bacteria doesn’t overgrow and make customers sick.

Plus, since a few months back they give out drastically less food per plate, which was disappointing. I first thought perhaps it was just that person on that day, but every time we went back it’s tiny portions of food for both adult and kid size food items. Doesn’t seem like IKEA restaurants are worth it anymore, we will take our businesses somewhere else where they take their food safety a priority and give a decent amount of...

Food was great. I got the swedish meatballs and it came with veggies, mashed potatoes and gravy and a smear of fruit jam....not sure the fruit. Lingonberry? It was tart but good; my five year old loved it. It was delicious! Same with the chicken strips and fries my kids got and the veggie balls my husband ordered. We also got one of their slices of 99 cent gooey chocolate cakes. It was a tiny sliver and didn't look anything like the picture they advertise (shocker) but it was still delicious. And since it's so rich in flavor and so cheap to order, you won't have a problem with it being a small slice, believe me. I've eaten here before when shopping ; it's really a nice place to grab some food before or after hitting...

Stopped by Ikea to buy a new chair for our daughter's desk. Decided to grab some lunch and had a dozen Swedish meatballs. Love the lingonberry jam and the server took an already emptied serving container sitting on top of the counter, I assume to be replaced and then scrapped what was left in it. I questioned the freshness and asked for a new one, she just continued to scrape what was left and told me it's all prepared the same. I complained to management at Ikea and my dog had some meatballs for lunch. The serving staff here in the kitchen doesn't represent the customer...
