Bridgeford House Bed and Breakfast — Hotel in Eureka Springs

I stayed 4 nights in Nottinghamshire Room over Memorial Day weekend & the first opening since Covid-19 quarantine. I was pretty much the only guest & had the entire main floor to myself (parlor, my room, back deck, & front porch). Due to the times, they couldn't clean my room or offer continental breakfast. However, anything that I called & asked for, they delivered. The customer service on the phone before & during my stay was excellent. I'm very well traveled internationally & nationally. This place & it's owners are gems. The room was gorgeous & temperature control easy with ceiling fan, window AC unit, & lovely gas fireplace. The bed was amazingly comfortable!! The jetted tub was amazing & got quite a bit of use & the double headed shower was wonderful! I do think that since I was staying 4 nights, that enough coffee for that time period should have already been in the room but it was quickly supplied upon request. More toilet paper should have been supplied before check-in. Other than that, I have no complaints. Beautiful place & location! I walked all over town from "home" & was very close to all of the sights further out. I highly recommend this room...

I have stayed in Eureka Springs many times before, but this is my first time staying at the Bridgeford House. It is at the far end of Spring Street; but if you're in decent shape, you can walk to shops and restaurants. Parking is behind house (enter via King Street) and there are four spaces if everyone parks properly. When coming down King from Spring, make sure you veer to the left when coming to fork. Path to right is stony gravel and dead ends, and it is quite the experience backing up. You definitely don't want to make this mistake at night! We stayed in the cozy, spacious Georgianna Suite with its fireplace and spa tub (along with shower) and separate entrance. It is only one flight of steps from back parking making it probably the most easily accessible room. (There are two rooms off front parlor but remember that you have to park in the back although you can unload and load from street.) We enjoyed chatting with other travelers and our hostess Sharon at breakfast. Will was easily accessible for any issues (we asked for the heat to be turned up a bit, and it was promptly done). One star only because I had to give a rating. We booked through a booking service which was linked to another local service that apparently the owners claimed they don’t use. We received an email confirmation when we booked and my credit card was charged. Received room passcode and entry instructions a few days before our arrival. We arrived only to find our room occupied and our reservation non-existent. The caretakers at the house were not helpful even though we showed them our confirmation, entry instructions, and charge to our credit card. They said it was not their problem. They called the owner who refused to help with anything and said the company we booked through was responsible for the refund. No accountability and no management process to oversee reservations through the multiple outlets they use. They lay blame on other sites that book reservations for them to save face. Luckily they use a service more professional than they can aspire to be so they can in fact fix errors made by poorly managed properties. Save your time and money and go...
