The place is dated. Which is is fine and to be expected given the fact it's located in Fairplay. I will say that and given that it was negative degrees out it was really unexpectedly nice that the room heater works so well that it was very toasty warm. What I would say is lacking is when I went to check in while it was 8:00 in the evening on a Thursday night I had to use the front desk phone for someone to come out so I can check in and I looked down for a second when she handed me the keys and went to look back up to ask about the snacks and bottles of water and stuff that they had listed for sale and she was already gone to the back room. I kind of felt like I was an inconvenience. The bad was comfortable the room was very clean. Again everything was dated but that was fine the only lights in the room where the bathroom there was a light right above the door when you walked in otherwise you had to use the lamps. There were two lamps, one on each side of the bed that was missing a light bulb. Water pressure was lacking but that's how it seems to be in most hotels. But the water did get extremely hot so that was nice. The hair dryer was attached to the wall and didn't work. They did serve a continental breakfast. There were lots of signs all over the place saying please only take what you're going to eat be considerate of others. Which was great that they had those signs. But it would have been nice to have seen that there was a sign on the mini fridge in that room that said frozen waffles hard-boiled eggs juice fruit cups yogurt here. There was no fresh fruit which I'm assuming given the fact that it's in Fairplay they probably don't get a lot of people there especially during the week so I can understand that. It would have been nice to have had a microwave in the room, but there was actually buy the laundry place that had a microwave and some tea and things like that which would have been nice to have known was there as well. When I did tell the lady checking out that the hair dryer didn't work she looked at me like I didn't know how to use it or turn it on and said well sometimes there's a you know a power switch that you have to hit by the light switch I told I told her I looked for that and there wasn't one of those in the bathroom at all. But all in all I would say it wasn't a bad place to stay and I would probably stay there again. Sorry I didn't provide any pictures this time as it was a one-night stay went to bed pretty much when I got there I got up early and checked...
Read moreThis place is horrible! I have so much to say throat it takes up more characters than what is allowed so I’m going to sum it up: *Their website says Mountain View. I have attached the view from our window. I do not call that mountains and there were a few train cars. See picture. *They had a sign pointing to a fitness center. Nope, no fitness center on the premises. See picture. *They had a sign saying “Welcome to the pool”. Nope, no pool. See picture. *They had a vending machine with not one thing in it to buy. *The bagels and bread for toast were kept in the original bags where you had to thumb through to get your item. I hate to imagine how many other people have thumbed through the packages. Very unsanitary. See picture. *They had boiled eggs which were not done. I cracked two eggs which the whites and yolk was running. It was nasty. *Third morning of breakfast they were all out of cereal. When I asked for some more cereal I was told they were out of many things. Hmmm, where are the managers, isn’t this heir job. *Their overall breakfast offerings were very poor. Plan on getting breakfast someplace else. *Their internet description says “High Speed Internet”. My version of high speed is I can at least play a UTube video which could not be done. *One day our room was not cleaned, no fresh towels, trash was not emptied, beds not made, etc. I complained and because I did complain I was told to get my stuff and leave the hotel that night. After much heated arguments, we left the next morning then had to deal with my bill not being correct. Overall, we had a horrible experience and would not recommend this...
Read moreWe booked online after a long drive from Texas. They advertised a 24 hour front desk but the front desk was closed, closes at 10pm. Per the instructions at the front desk I picked up the phone to get ahold of someone but no one answered. After a half a dozen calls with no answer I went back to the truck and made a phone call to the main reservation number for Wyndham and they were able to get the guy on the phone so we could get into our room.||Once in the room we found blood on the sheets, mold in the tub, tub was stopped up, toilet paper was behind the commode on the floor along with hair on the commode. ||We made best out of what we were given as it was late and we were tried. This meant cleaning up enough to take a shower in standing water as the tub did not drain at all.||Checkout time was 11am and we were headed out around 10:50 when there was a knock on the door. It was the assistant manager that lived on-site. He wanted to know when we were leaving and I told him we were on our way out and then I started to explain the disgusting room we slept in but he became upset for some reason. He become downright angry. I then invited him in the room to show him the issues but he refused. We exchanged a few words and then we left after he told us he had our personal information and we were banned from ever coming back.||This guy definitely has anger issues and should not be in a customer service role.||My advice is if you’re looking for a place to stay drive to Breckenridge or sleep in your vehicle at the convenience store...
